Title: Categories in MCE?
Post by: MagpieMDP on December 14, 2005, 10:57:54 PM
Hi.  After months of semi-successful, yet ultimately frustrating, experiences with the free MCE EPG workarounds, I have finally taken the plunge to test out IceTV.  From whatg I have seen so far, it is a very good solution.  Well done.

I am wondering though if you intend supporting categories within MCE.  Or if you already do, what am I doing wrong?  When I look up the search, the only category listed is "General".

Thanks in advance,
MDP

If you go into the General Category, you will find a whole list of sub categories where the rest of the programs are. "Movie" is in there as well as pretty much everything else you'd need.

This works well if you hit "OK" on the "MyTV" button in MCE, and choose Search.

Regards,
Shane.

Is there any particular reason why the top-most category is on its own? It just slows things down when you're navigating to a particular sub-category, adding an extra un-necessary step.

Great product, anyway - fills an important need in the Aussie market.
