To the minute now and next

Word has it that the broadcasters are going to start updating their now and next info up to the minute. Any chance Ice will be able to take advantage of that for interactive recordings?

Given how litigious Nine is about its EPG, I'd guess, no.

Anyway, I'm a bit skeptical about how useful such changes would be, and remember that timers are only updated from IceTV about every 30 minutes.

Not to mention these "on the fly" adjusted timeslots still don't match reality.   Sure, they get a bit closer than they are on the 8.00 8.30 etc boundaries, but they still aren't good enough from discussion on this behaviour on the dtvforum.

Agreed. In fact, to do the job that people would really want them to do, they'd need to be accurate to the second, because there's typically no slack time between prime time programs on commercial TV. The real problem it is the difference in actual start/end times between programs on different services that are scheduled to start/end at a given time, not simply the fact that they run late.
