IceTV EPG Content / Re: guide wont go past GO
August 26, 2009, 08:47:53 AM
Well I made sure there were no gaps, all the channels mapped and it still wouldnt scroll past GO.  Of interest tho' there were two GO's...  90 and 99 I think.  I deleted one and both disappeared...  And now I'm able to scroll around (with no GO)

I'll manage without GO until I get time to upgrade, not much on GO that interests me anyway.

I know I'm running on old firmware  1.11.29  but is 'was' stable until now and its a headache to upgrade as I have a lot of stuff recorded that needs backing up first....   Its on my to do list....

I checked the mapping and OneHD (11) was not mapped so I have fixed that and now its not 'GO'

However the other problems remain, ie not being able to scroll past GO using the  'next service' in the guide and using previous service switches to a different day....

I know, I know, upgrade...  but it was all working before....  :-(

Thanks for responding,  I have a toppy 7100...

The mapping in my member account is set to  send to pvr as lcn 'all'   for all channels

Do I need to change the mapping on the toppy?  I've never had to do this before.

IceTV EPG Content / guide wont go past GO
August 21, 2009, 06:25:25 PM
Program guide is doing some weird things since I rescanned to get GO. After months of problem free viewing and recording its all gone pear shaped.

Problem 1. Currently the guide will not scroll forward past 99 - previously it would just loop around.

Problem 2. If I scroll backwards the date changes .  ie I go back from abc 21 to abc 20 and the day changes from Fri 21 to Mon 24....

Problem 3. OneHD  (11) guide is showing the GO channels program listing.....

Ughhh I hate change    ???

Topfield / Re: Not an IceTV problem but....

Thanks guys,

The HP USB Disk Storage Format tool has resolved the problem with the 4gb USB stick but hasn't helped the Passport drive.

I'll take a look at the links suggested, I knew there was a 7100 forum area, just couldn't find it.  if I don't find anything I'll post a new topic.

Maybe I can format it directly under linux at work tomorrow....  nothing harm trying.

Cheers

Topfield / Not an IceTV problem but....
March 05, 2009, 01:06:09 PM
I cant get any sense from Topfield phone support and cant find their forum specifically for  the 7100....

Anyway, my toppy wont recognize *any* usb stick or external drive.  I'm trying to use a 320gb WD passport drive to copy shows onto for backup. Its formatted FAT32 single partition. I also have a 4gb usb stick which is also FAT32 but obviously not big enough for backup but also cannot be seen by toppy in either front or rear usb.

message is 'cant connect external storage'  or  'can not find usb media' dependingon whether I am trying to copy to or format the drive,

I am on the latest firmware - did this by FTPing the update to root and booting....

Here's the thing...  The usb wireless dongle works fine - I have setup a wireless network.

Has anyone seen this problem? Got any suggestions?

Well, I give up.  After accidentally switching the topfield off and on the timers are now getting sent.  Doesn't make sense to me since the EPG was happily being updated so why not the timers.  Anyway its working - for now.

ckug, to be honest, after the initial problems getting wireless to work I'm quite happy with my topfield and with IceTV. (Im on a 3G network, not by choice,  and wireless LAN) Sure the intermittent timers problem is frustrating, but overall my experience is a positive one.  I'm so happy to pause tv while I make a latte - which takes longer than the ad breaks, then skips the ads and be able to rewind to hear a line I missed.  Plus I've discovered a world of programs that I didn't know were on because they are not listed in the regular TV guide...

Cheers

Well, my own advice isn't working for me...    I'm getting no timers being sent at all.  It just stopped working. Ever since I took up the xmas bonus subscription offer - but I don't think that should be relevant...    ;)

I've deleted the device, re-added, re setup the timers, but they sit there queued and never make it to my device.  EPG is working fine.  Ping test ok.  Any other suggestions?  Tech  support, if you're reading this, can you see anything wrong?

I deleted my interactive device on the webpage and re-added it (a couple of times...)
I haven't had any problems with timers since (touch's wood..)    I also avoid turning off the toppy!

Just to confirm that it DID record the program last night.  Cheers!

I have a TF7100HDPVRt .  Have only had it for a week so still playing around with it and learning...

Are there too many programs scheduled at that time for the recorder to actually record?
[/quote]

Interesting point - although at first I dismissed this even tho I had 3 programs scheduled:
8pm 30mins ch2
8.30pm 1 hr ch7
8.30pm 1hr ch9

So should be all a-ok......

BUT...  as I have set padding in the pvr setting to 10 mins this would cause an overlap.

BUT (again)  when I got home last night and checked what was actually sent to my device - all 3 timers are there! Hmmmm...  I wonder how it will cope.... or not?

Interactive guide shows this message (below) for a program with is not scheduled to screen until tomorrow night.  Symbol beside it is a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark.

Recording of this show failed on the device: <my device name>

Why is it unable to schedule this program for recording?

I still intermittently get the 'no channel map data'  'please reload guide'  and I am running the latest firmware....

I am also running latest firmware and finding that timers are not being sent....   or I should say 'some' timers are not being sent.  The remain 'scheduled' in interactive and never get to my device. :'(
