Just wanted to offer my services as one of the beta testers if you would like another.

A very long term user and moderator on the Beyonwiz forum.

Definitely supports IceTV.

The app is still meant to work with free accounts so warning aside should let you in and have all the other functionality except for recording functions according to the table on this page.

I've left a couple of call back messages over the last week and still heard nothing back.
I suspect that they don't phone people back ATM, probably too many phone calls.  Hopefully it will eventually get back to the great service we were used to.
If that really is the case - that they don't call back, the message needs to be changed so it doesn't say they will.

While I was already inclined not to renew, things like this do nothing to help convince anyone it is a good idea.

Sure.

I should start by saying that I don't have a paid account currently so this might be a bit OT but given the discussion of logging on difficulties post changes I wondered if there might be any common ground.

When I try to log in I get a pop up Reminder that says " Please renew your IceTV memebership if you wish to schedule recordings.". When I click OK, it just goes back to the log in screen and can never go past it.

Have you reloaded the App yet.

The recent server changes means that the App needs to be reloaded.

From what I understand, you need to load it directly from the IceTV website.
I'm having problems logging into the app but reloading didn't help and doing it from the IceTV website was just a link that took me to Google Play anyway.

Thanks Dave, and the rest of the staff

It is sad to see the service go and sorry you are losing your jobs as well.

Dave has been a great help and support over the years, so good luck to you.

Cheers

Hi Leon

Thanks for the response.

No, I don't use Chrome so didn't try it. Look forward to the fix.

Cheers

Sorry if I have missed another post about this.

When I go to Coming Soon on the website and try to schedule a new recording, the pop-up has an empty box for device.

And you have to select your device first. Clicking Add Recording without doing that not surprisingly gives an error.

Now this doesn't happen on the TV guide page where it defaults to my one and only device.

Thanks

It was mentioned in the email, but we should have made it more obvious that the lifetime subscription is for Humax PVRs only.

The email was still relevant to owners of other brand recorders as they may want to purchase a Humax PVR (for a relative or friend or to replace their existing PVR) and then get the Humax "lifetime" subscription for that Humax.
Fair enough, though glad you acknowledged the first point as it clearly raised expectations with others as well. :)

General Discussions / Life Time Subscription offer

I am presuming this is a mistake but I just got sent an email offering me this with no mention of Humax next to the offer though that is where the email took me.

I don't own and never have owned a Humax. :)

EDIT: Just spotted the footnote but I still think this email could be better and clearer!

IceTV EPG Content / QI Tuesday night 23/10
October 23, 2012, 09:34:23 PM
QI started at 21.20 tonight and while that is the time shown on the ABC website, IceTV has it at 21.30.

So what happened?

When was the time changed and why did IceTV miss it?
