Humax / Display on front of Humax
May 06, 2014, 10:22:56 PM
Hi All,
I had an issue with my Humax 7500 on the weekend where it would not connect up wifi through the USB adaptor and would ask me to connect to internet for guide settings etc, blah, blah, blah. I tried both ports and the indicator on the usb was illuminated albiet blinking on and off although t was recieving information. After troubleshooting for a bit i decided to reset to factory without clearing the HDD. That fixed it and i was able to pick up wifi and connect to ICE TV guide.
Now the display on the front of the box is not working! Have looked all though the settings and setup but there is nowhere to set that to display. Correct me if i am wrong but wasn't that a setting on some firmware earlier? I have current firmware on the unit.
Any info would be much appreciated as i turn the unit on, change the channel to where i want (prior to a program starting without turning the tv on) and leave it to run until we finally sit down to watch. Then i timeshift back to the start of the program. Without this working i need to turn the tv on then turn it back off again. First world problems i know, but prior to resetting to factory it worked fine. If it is not one thing it is another with this box.

Humax / Re: ABC reception issues
March 22, 2014, 10:58:03 AM
So what's the best way to attack this? I have found that the ABC website says that they are switching over to a new frequency in a month or so, which could mean it is a phase out problem. I might ring a local TV antennae repairman and see if they have found any issues with ABC in recent callouts in the area.

Humax / ABC reception issues
March 21, 2014, 07:07:40 PM
Hi All,
Just wanted to ask around here if anyone is having issues with receiving ABC TV? I have a HDR 7500T and for the last couple of weeks ABC has been really sporadic with reception etc. Since moving into this house we have lost the Brisbane channels but i have everything set to local Sunshine Coast QLD. All local channels are ok but when i try to rescan for channels etc to pick up ABC it sometimes gets it but the majority of the time it doesn't pick it up. When it does pickup ABC channels it has them for a day and then loses them again and just displays "Signal weak and unable to display".
Before i get told it is my antennae i plug my Topfield in place of the Humax and it shows ABC no problems. I haven't left the Topfield connected for longer than an hour but i am going to try that this afternoon and through the weekend.
I have been updated with the new software as at 20 February and i have tried factory resetting.
If anyone has any ideas please share as my daughter can't watch Peppa and Bananas on ABC22, haha.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,
I am new to this forum but have owned and used the IceTV guide for a while now. I have been struggling with this problem also for sometime and have decided to investigate after many programs just didn't record. I also have a Humax and have been finding that anything to do with Seven or Nine programs that they just won't record unless i physically record them on the Humax guide. When i use the IceTV app or login on PC it just fails to record or to transfer the info to the Humax box.
I live on the Sunshine Coast (1 hour north of Brisbane) and reading through this thread sounds like it is the problem i am having. Although reading through the list of regional areas the Sunshine Coast is not listed there. I have found that when i select a program to record on the website it does come up with 3 different selections of channels (Seven Bris, Seven QLD or SC Seven), How do i find out which channel to select on the Box when all it says is Seven? Also, when select the quality can i leave it on "Prefer HD" or could that also cause some problems?
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks
