I had something similar a while back and it turned out to be the channel mapping for the Chanel that was erroring. In my case it was the ABC. Here is the reply for ICE support, so I guess change the ABC to 9 - assuming it has more than one channel number.

HTH

Gordon

To fix this, open the setup screen by pressing the "Menu" button and then "System Setting" on the remote control.
Scroll down and select "EPG Setting" by pressing "OK".
Scroll down and select "Channel Map" by pressing "OK".
With ABC1 highlighted, use the Left/Right buttons to change the LCN value to match the channel number that you watch ABC1 on (this could be 2 or 21).

Once this has been fixed, the recordings that had errors will need to be re-scheduled, as recordings with errors are not sent, even when using the "re-send all recordings" function. This needs to be done manually by clicking on each program, and then selecting the "re-schedule".

Each affected program will need to be individually re-scheduled.

Hi There and congrats on the 7100, You can look at the Timer setting on the Toppy - MENU - Timer Setting, to see the list of timers that have been sent to the Toppy, The list on Interactive under My Upcoming Shows will also list what has been sent and what is queued to be sent.

I had the exact same problem on the ABC and ICE support sent this which fixed my problem.

** change this for channel ten - so maybe check the LCN for ten that you get there ***

Hope this helps

Gday Tom,

Can you ping test the router?, if other devices are getting past the router it may be security settings on the router, you said you had to set MAC address allowances for LAN for your other devices? do you need to set the toppy mac in there as well? Does your router log show anything for the IP of the toppy?

Gordon

1. Can ping router and toppy as specified in OP
2. Toppy MAC is set in wireless, which is irrelevant as it's a wired connection anyway.
3. Router DHCP table shows toppy as connected, as you'd expect given ping command works.
There is something basic I'm missing in the setup of the router here, but stuffed if I can see it. It could be I need to activate port forwarding on this particular router, but wanted to see what others said... I don't really think this should be neccessary.
Regards
Tom

Tom,

Just one thing you say that the Toppy has a static IP in the OP, yet you mention that it is listed in the DHCP table, wouldn't have thought it should show up there.
Sure you haven't enable some form of firewalling / blocking in the router.

You didn't mention if you can see if the router is dropping packet from the IP of the toppy in any of the logging that the router has?

What is the actual problem you are having, No ICE Guide, or interactive not working?

BTW I don't have that type of router.

I too have been using the 7100 with the latest firmware since it was released  and it hasn't missed a beat, in terms of timers and EPG - I think that even WIN / WIN HD guides have more / correct info.

From the original image, it shows that all except the last 2 series are scheduled.

having said that I had an issue where all my schedulers were erroring and it was due to the Chanel mapping I had set(or hadn't set up).

ICE Support gave me the followign which fixed my problem.

this could be due to the channel not being mapped properly to the correct LCN.

To fix this, open the setup screen by pressing the "Menu" button and then "System Setting" on the remote control.
Scroll down and select "EPG Setting" by pressing "OK".
Scroll down and select "Channel Map" by pressing "OK".
With the chanel highlighted, use the Left/Right buttons to change the LCN value to match the channel number that you watch the station on.

Just throwing my 2cents in, Since that latest firmware update I have not had any issues what soever, the 7100 and ICE have been very stable and reliable, all my timers (one offs and series) are working spot on and the guide data has always been available.

I also updated this morning and now (21:00) I have no guides for most of the channels - I am a little disappointed in this and with no way to check why this is happening makes me fell like iam in the dark. ICE subscriber since 2006!

Gordon

EDIT : Everything came good a littler later and since I have not had any trouble - Thanks.

Yes after updating to the latest fw and doing a factory reset, I have no guides for Prime HD, sbs,Prime,ABC HD, ABC, ABC2, SBS HD, SBS2. I updated early this morning and have done a ping test many times, and checked my Channel Mapping. A little disappointing.

Topfield / Re: Recording Timings Disappearing

I have noticed the following with my upcoming recordings and just wanted to pass this on.

If my recoding for today are marked as queued in "My Upcoming Shows" and should have already be pulled by the toppy, I simple switch it off (Standby) and wait a minute or so, and switch it back on. Then after a few more minutes all my queued shows are now set to record both in Interactive and the toppy (Menu - Timer settings).

I have had to do this only a couple of times but it seems to work each time.

Hi There,

Have you set the correct device type in the EPG settings menu on the Toppy, and then have you used this device when setting the recordings?
Does the Toppy actually have Internet access - Under the Network setting menu - you have set an profile which is active?

Topfield / Re: Loading and losing the EPG on the TF7100

I have noticed that whenever the Toppy gets turned off the guide will be "lost"  - I have also noticed that after a while after turning back on (no idea exactly how long) that the guide will come back as it does a pull to reload the guide.

I leave my 7100 on 24x7 but recently have had 2 blacks outs and noticed that each time the toppy comes back on that the guide will be gone - I just leave it along and as I said it will refresh itself.
