Hi Tim,

What repo/addin are you using the catch up TV?
I have seen a few options on the internet but haven't experimented with any yet.

Thanks
Richard

Slyguy and Aussieaddons

The interesting thing is they seem to have no adds.  How disappointing!

Yes that is great, but there is one issue.  A Soft Reset wipes any loaded plugins.

A request I have for future development, is an extra soft reset that retains any existing plugins and any personal settings.

I have got my IceBox pretty close to being a fully functional Smart TV and PVR (Catchup TV as well as Netflix, Paramount Plus, Disney, Prine and Binge) but a soft reset undoes it all.
It takes 3 to 4 hours to get it all set up again.

Have you tried this: https://kodi.wiki/view/Add-on:Backup

I have no personal experience with it, but it sounds like it could be useful in your situation.

There is also this too:

DMC,

I had actually tried the backup and restore provided in the LibreElec settings and it worked, but a little too well.
To explain, around about the time the new SSDs were sent out I found that most of the Addons I had installed had stopped working. Basically, they could all be navigated OK, but when I tried to go into a folder to play something, the folder showed as empty. The Addons all said to do a Kodi Reset (Whatever that is) to fix the problem.

Before I finally got around to swapping the new SSD in, I tried backing up, doing a soft reset, and a restore. It worked nicely, except the problem was still there. Cloning the SSD achieved the same result.
I ended up doing a soft reset and reinstalling all the addons and it started working properly. Fairly obviously there was something in the user data that was causing the problem.

This looks interesting. I will give it a try.

However I am also thinking of others less tech savvy. A simple selectable option in the IceTV menus somewhere that does a reset and then restores Addons as well as recordings would make things easier.
