You need a keyboard and power up the IceBox into the BIOS. Then in Save and Exit you can scroll down to choose the USB to reboot then go step by step

As we are continually improving the IceTV software integration things like residual files, albeit small, are on our to-do list to remove.

Ian_AW is roughly correct as our tests have shown approximately 20 minutes processing per hour. If more than one commercial show is recorded simultaneously we, as yet, can't control or discern which one is processed first so for  two it would be at least 40 minutes minimum plus padding time and, as IanL-S says, that may also vary according to resolution.  Personally I let them record one evening and view them the next at the earliest, so I have no impatience regarding the processing and have never found one missing its "AutoSkip".

Hi Ian,

Yes the imminent release update of the iPhone app will also work properly full size on an iPad. The app looks the same as the current one but its underlying software has been completely rewritten in the latest Apple code base.

The two port's outputs are the same as the IceBox is a miniPC which, in its original state, could support two monitors.  It's not commercially possible for us to order specials so one should simply use the most convenient one. A reboot may be necessary if you swap.

My IceBox has a better, sharper, picture than my BWiz V2 but I had to adjust my Sony 65" TV picture settings for its specific HDMI input, as I had also previously done for a different HDMI input for the V2.  Have you tried that approach?

Hi,  can you tell us the model number of the Panasonic TV so we can find out where the setting is?

Dan has a dreadful dose of the flu so may be off-line for a day or so, and I'd rather leave the technical comments to him as the software author.

Hi Mike,

I've replied via your support ticket but yes a soft reset is the way to go. Apologies and a software update is near release (we are testing the final release candidate right now).

We will email all customers once the update is available by a simple IceBox reboot and list the bug fixes and improvements at that time.

An imminent software update should fix that bug (and some others).

Mate, do you realise how difficult that would be, both getting it into the software then modifying the UI??!!

No rush though👍

If you really do want to get into it you'll need a keyboard, either USB or wireless. Connect the keyboard then turn the box right off buy pulling out its power pin. then after a few seconds with the esc button pressed down in the keyboard plug its power back in.  Release the escape key after a few seconds on the box will boot into its BIOS where boot options are available.  From memory the quickest way is then to go to BIOS Save and Exit a simple reboot choice is available.

Hi Aardvark,

Go the add ons on the left menu, you'll see a large IceTV box on the right.  Go to it press OK and a choice to turn ad skip off or on will be seen. It should be on as that's the default?

As you record lots of ABC no ad skip will be present except at the end of the padding at the start of a show and at its end.  It will show up in the bar at the top of the TV whenever you press the manual forward skip button or at the bottom of the TV when the "i" button is pressed. The second choice also shows the time shift functionality plus other choices such as subtitles.

The ad skip takes about 20 minutes per hour of recording and doesn't start until the recording has ended. If there are multiple simultaneous recordings the choice as to which is processed first is currently random.

The IceBox is running the latest firmware v1.11.6 so why would you want to boot to a USB?
