I have just ran though the above steps and CPU Usage has gone down from 25% to 0%

One notable absence from the above steps by Dave is that you may also be prompted with a 'File permissions check' dialogue, click change and accept any UAC prompts.

QuoteIceTV Interactive does not have permission to write to the C:\ProgramData\IceTV\Interactive\3.0 folder. This may have been due to a security setting on this computer.

Click 'Change' to try fix the permissions issue, or

Click 'Exit' to exit the application

I will dig around a bit more but it seems like I might be getting 'parts' of the 'CH10 EPG Broadcast Stream' rather than the IceTV CH10 Guide yet everything appears to match up quite well when I look at the data source http://iceguide.icetv.com.au/cgi-bin/epg2/iceguide.cgi?op=xmlguide&user=username&pass=password

Looking at the current 8:30pm-9:30pm of tonights broadcast of NCIS:-

My 'Physical TV' broadcast EPG guide data (No IceTV) shows the broadcast EPG data the same as per CH10's TV Guide here with the Epidode Title 'Powerdown' & Description 'When an attempted robbery leaves a Lieutenant dead and the entire city without power, the team must figure out what happened by utilising good old fashioned investigative methods.'

Looking in Windows 7 Media Centre Guide, IceTV Interactive & the IceTV XML I see Episode Title 'Power Down' and the description 'A group of masked gunmen storm the headquarters of an internet company and with the flick of a switch the whole of Washington D.C is plunged into darkness. After a hiccup involving an elevator, NCIS is called out to the building when it's discovered that a Lieutenant was killed there. Why did the thieves go to such lengths to get what they want? Mark Harmon, Michael Weatherly, Pauley Perrette, David McCallum.'

Neither of the above data sets match the episode description at TheTVDB 'The team literally finds themselves in the dark when the investigation into the death of a lieutenant is connected to a city-wide blackout.' or the eipsode description on Wikipedia

I am at a loss as the data 'appears to be correct for IceTV's guide data matching 100% perfectly in this case of NCIS yet the three shows I listed in the original post still stand as I stated with the 'Film, Other Films' category listed on them and 'iCarly' shows as starting at the time I stated above yet IceTV Interactive as you state above appears in your guide as part of 'Toasted TV' so I will need to dig around some more data to try and see what on earth is going on as to why I am getting a mixed 'Broadcast EPG' along with 'IceTV EPG' data, I will run through a complete Media Centre 'Guide Setup' and reinstall IceTV etc and see what happens from there once I have backed up my 'Series Settings etc'

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judge_John_Deed "Judge John Deed is a British legal drama television series produced by the BBC"

And both Wikipedia & TheTVDB clearly lists 'Judge John Deed in 'Seasons', 'Episodes #' & 'Episode Titles'

IceTV EPG Content / 'Judge John Deed' Series information
February 08, 2010, 08:01:38 PM
Currently 'Judge John Deed' airing on CH72 (MELB) shows each title not as the series 'Judge John Deed' and instead each title each work includes the episode name in the title making series recording in Windows 7 Media Centre a 'manual' process' eg. CH72 Monday 8:30pm (Melbourne) the title is 'Judge John Deed - One Angry Man' and last weeks is 'Judge John Deed - Silent Killer'.

Cheers,

Stephen

&
'iCarly' (CH10 Sat 12 Feb 8:00am)

Marc,

You want a Widget Tip?

Write a gadget for Vista & Update the API Documentation

As I stated in the thread here that your December 6th 2007 Newsletter delivered by email said 'Windows Vista Gadget Coming Soon'.

You all know that I have contacted numerous people who have in turn contacted you back in August/September 2008 and they are still waiting.

And to expand on the same subject even further, the reason I raise this now is that I have been asked if I know of anyone who can develop a 'Windows Sideshow' application and 'bing' IceTV would be a great 'Sideshow' application running on a Windows Mobile Platform via Bluetooth. Similar to your iPhone app except that it would support the Windows Mobile platform.

The ball is in your court and you can decide to play or not play! You have our details.

.... including 9 Vista sidebar gadgets.  In my experience the Vista gadget platform has a long way to go.
I would not be bragging about the complexity of these 9 gadgets you have created.

I would also point out to you that the Vista Gadget patform is not going anywhere soon and this is the base of the Vista Gadget platform and will remain that way for many years to come, like it or not it is what it is and if you have chosen that IceTV Gadgets are your baby and you simply don't unerstand the platform it would be best that you inform management that this should be handed over to a developer that can inderstand the Windows Vista platform or have the Gadget development outsourced.

With all due respect, even creating a poor implementation of our current IceTV Remote widget would be near impossible.
No it wouldn't, your problem is that you cannot work out an authentication platform for Windows Vista Gadget and the IceTV content, you are worried that this content would then get re-published all over the internet. No great problem with you wanting to protect 'your intelectual property'.

So again... we'll watch the developments on Vista like a hawk.
As stated above I hope that for the past 12 months you have watched Vista get released, I hope that you watched Vista SP1 be released, I would have hoped that by now you should understand that a new 'Vista Sidebar Special Service Pack' is in no way near nor will one evr probably be released.

How long do you need to sit idle and just watch?

So we want a Vista gadget too, but it's just not a good idea yet.

Get used to it, even when Service Pack 2 is released for Windows Vista the core application coding for Windows Vista Sidebar Gadgets will not change so with all of your gadget expertise and trying to be the IceTV Go-Go-Gadget man it is I think time you let go and gave it to someone that is capable of performing this task.

Sheer ignorance is not the answer to the issue of a Windows Vista Sidebar Gadget for IceTV Subscribers.

Bump!

This is still not showing the 'Repeat' flag for the 9:30am Broadcasts.

EDIT: It appears that it shows the 'Repeat' flag on the IceTV site but is not pushed through the EPG for Vista MCE

This is also the case for Landline ABC1 Sundays Midday and the repeats Monday 11am

The Australia Wide program on ABC2 does not have the repeat flag for the 9:30am Repeats.
First runs are at 5:00pm each week day
