Title: Endeavour: is it really new?
Post by: prl on October 06, 2017, 01:20:14 PM
Endeavour (the prequel series to Morse), ABC/ABC HD 20:30 tonight Fri 6 )ct is showing up as a new series on IceTV (and in the ABC schedule). But Endeavour has definitely been shown before on Australian FTA TV. We have a series recording set for it left from last time it was shown.

The ABC guide shows tonight's episode as the series pilot, and the episode on Fri 13 Oct is showing on the ABC as S01E01. There are recent series of Endeavour listed in IMDb, but S01 isn't one: the pilot is from 2012 and the first series is from 2013.

Yes, they are definitely repeats. In Melbourn they were originally transmitted on 7 Digital, and subsequently on 7TWO.

The IceTV guide says that the Pilot is on tonight and on Saturday afternoon (in Melbourne). My recollection is that the schedule (on the listing on my Toppys) had first episode of series 1 (Girl) scheduled but this has now been corrected.

Hi there prl and Ian,

Many thanks for your note regarding Endeavour.  You're correct that it is a repeat. However, we're obligated to publish the guide information that the ABC provide and as it's a first run for them, we've mark it a premiere.

Cheers,

Tiphanee

Ah... a "network premiere". Imagine how many of them 7TWO could have ;)
