Title: New Channel 7 Flex
Post by: LaurensMeyer on February 22, 2016, 07:46:21 PM
Anyone any ideas about this?  I can see the new channel on my tv but I can't tune my topfield 7100 into it and I noticed that it does appear in my ice  list.guide settings.

I suspect you have a 7100HDPVRt rather than 7100HDPVRt Plus. If so, it will not recognise this as it can only work with MPEG2; the service (like 9HD and Racing Com) is transmitted in MPEG4.

If not, not sure why you are not finding it; I found it on one of my 7100+ Toppys.

Any word on whether IceTV will be providing a programme schedule for this one?

Yes. IceTV will provide guide data for 7flix.

Historically it takes a week or two after a new channel starts broadcasting before IceTV is able to provide guide data for that new channel.

7flix starts broadcasting this Sunday, Feb 28, on channel 76 in capitol cities and channel 66 in regional areas.

7flix starts broadcasting this Sunday, Feb 28, on ... channel 66 in regional areas.

Are you sure about the start date for the regionals? I know 7flix has shown up as a promo loop in the metro areas (and I've started collecting the ONID/TSID/SID triples for them for Beyonwiz picon setup), but there's no LCN 66 showing up on Prime 7's Canberra broadcasts.

The 7flix (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7flix) Wikipedia entry also says that the start date for 7flix on the regionals hasn't been announced yet.

Quote7flix will be available in standard definition digital in metropolitan areas and regional Queensland through Seven Network owned-and-operated stations including ATN Sydney, HSV Melbourne, BTQ Brisbane, SAS Adelaide, TVW Perth and STQ Queensland. Regional affiliates Prime7/GWN7, Southern Cross and WIN have provided no word yet of their intentions to carry 7flix.

Yep, no word on regionals as yet. Not sure why the promo loop is even listing that some regional areas will have it on 66, very weird.

However we will have this channel up and running before it starts (maybe even today for some regions).

We will need some information on DVB triplets however, but I will start a new thread for that one.

I have triples for TEN HD and 7flix for Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth & Sydney. I hope to get more over the next few days. I'm happy to post them in the new topic if that helps.
