Beyonwiz / No Next Day or Series recording option
November 21, 2018, 12:00:41 AM
I have just purchased a T4 and firstly had a overscan problem with EPG but after changing skin it is now OK but the "Next Day" and "series" recording options are not displayed. Also Add skipping does not appear to be active. These were very handy with my previous Skippa recorder. Also it requests that I download an update but will not complete and advises a USB update. Perhaps I have not set this up correctly so look for guidance on these issues please.

SKIPPA / Re: Scan will not find channel 7 Brisbane

Hello Daniel, Thank you for your response. It appears that the tuner may be failing as the only channels watchable are : one; 10; 11; 12; 14 &  15.
All others have a serious loss of signal strength. 7 is still not found. I have checked signal strength at the TV and at the Beyonwiz; both have excellent signal.
The reason I suspect the tuner is that these other unwatchable channels were ok after the first scan.

Yes I have. But support requires leaving a message for them to ring back which is usually 1 or 2 days.

Tried the reset; manual scan changed leads but to no avail. Very disillusioned with this product. My old Beyonwiz still works and does not have these problems.
In the absence of a satisfactory solution I will return this unit.

SKIPPA / Scan will not find channel 7 Brisbane

I have tried both auto and manual scans; turned off; changed leads; re-booted and all things I could think of. 7 is ok with my Beyonwiz and TV.

UPDATE: machine is now working. I had to trick it to start by using the component cables. It would not boot with the HDMI cable but now that it is set up I have switched to the HDMI cable with success. Is this situation unique to my machine?

Thanks Ian, I have tried many times unplugging and rebooting. After the boot sequence completes it reverts to indistinguishable led dashes and a red light. and thats all.

SKIPPA / Not turning on

Disappointed after waiting waiting so long for the Skippa machine to discover it will not turn on. It responds momentarily to remote and any other actions merely by the red standby light showing while a button is pressed. I can not get to setup.
I have been a IceTv member for over 5 years using a Beyonwiz PVR and thought this new unit would be an improvement.
