Its not quite the same as setting the machine to record a series on a particular day but an alternative way to avoid some timer clashes is to include a REPEAT ONLY option as this would allow the user to sellect which airing of a program he/she wants to record.

Does anyone else think it be great if we could prioritize our favourite tv shows in IceTv Interactive.
So when there's multiply favourite shows on at same time we can choose which ones we want to record
At the moment you have to change which recorded shows you want and cancel the one thats least favourite.

With so many shows now being repeated on sister stations or being given an encore screening, by adding a "REPEATS ONLY" option it would allow the user to avoid known clashes of shows by allowing the user to determine which airing of any given show is recorded, eg. record the repeats of Crownies (on ABC2) rather than the first run (on ABC1), thus increasing the functionality of ICE TV for the user.
