Hi All,
My IceBox won't record repeats. IceTV guide has them all showing as
This show is waiting to be set by device IceBox. This show is part of a series recording.
and has the red donut icon.
All first time broadcasts have red circle and record as expected.
Any ideas?

This is not something that I have seen. No idea why it would be happening. Please confirm that you are running the latest firmware - build 12.2.1 which was released on 7 March. Are you using an IceTV IceBox or a BYOB IceBox?

The only suggestion I can make is to do a soft reset; not that I have great hopes for this being a solution. I suggest that you put in support request.
IceTV: IceBox + BYOB IceBox + 2xTRF-2400 + 2xTF7100HDPVRtPlus + SKIPPA [RIP] + T2 + U4 + V2
No IceTV: a few Toppys and T2
Synology NAS

Hi Ian,
Thanks yes I can confirm I am on latest firmware.
Can you link me to the soft reset process and where to log a ticket please.

The choice of recording repeats is made at the IceTV recording settings, not on the IceBox.  If you look at any of the repeats via your IceTV website or app you'll see there is a choice of first runs only or first runs and repeats.

Can you say which specify show, its name and Chanel?

It is Wheeler Dealers on 9Rush Melbourne. IceTv shows it as being set to record. The error message i am getting on IceTV is as mentioned above.

Got it!  Have you checked the relevant timer in the IceBox as I suspect it was set.  We have a difficult to solve bug that shows  doughnuts if a show air time changes fractionally even though it is actually set.

Checked the IceBox and it does not show the timers and the programmes are not being recorded. :-(

The IceTV website is still saying;
This show is waiting to be set by device IceBox. This show is part of a series recording.
for the affected programmes.

Hi Nick,

Are these all for a specific channel? Is the guide data showing up in the TV Guide on the IceBox for these particular shows?

Hi Daniel,
Whilst Wheeler Dealers is on 9Rush, I have also tried to record other repeats as one offs, such as Life of Brian the other week and they have also failed.
And yes the guide info for 9Rush is appearing on the IceBox.
I have just set up a series recording for Big Bang Theory on 10Peach as an experiment to see if that is similarly affected.

I think you'll find that any one-off timers set on program series will result in open "doughnut" indicators on the My Week amd TV Guide interfaces, Anyone who knows otherwise please correct me!

Even though showing doughnuts, the timers should show up on IceBox or any other PVR you may have, and record without issue.

A workaround, as you have identified, is to set a series recording for first runs and repeats. This will record everything, which may not be what is desired, and unwanted recordings would need to be deleted.

Sorry but neither one off nor series recordings are working if it is a repeat...
New programmes record perfectly both one offs and series recordings.

I don't recall having seen that reported before.

As IanL-S suggested, have you tried a soft reset, or even just a reboot?

I have rebooted many times, needed to do that to get the timers to update before the firmware update, but no difference.
How do I soft reset?
