Hi, I have an issue where I attempted to do a factory reset and the IceTV software reinstalled but no TV channels. I have TV through the antenna but was unable to get the TV setup done. I unplugged the IceBox and I get the message below. Sorry can't attach the image as it's too big, but it's all strange code stuff. I can't escape out of it. Any feedback most welcome

Hi Stephanie,

Try pulling out its power pin and pressing its on/off button at the same time.  Wait five minutes or so then plug it in again.  If it restarts properly go to Settings (the cog at the top) - Addons - Services - IceTV and if it has updated it will be v1.41.

Thanks I will give it a try

I didn't have any luck sadly. Still at the strange code page

MD

Ok unplug it again and leave it over night. Sounds very unscientific but it seems to work.  We are in discussions with the SSD manufacturer as to why and doing tests ourselves.

Also, if it does start up after tonight run a soft reset via LibreELEC found in settings.

I have had the Icebox off and unplugged all day and night. I still have the 'coding' on my screen and can't get out of it

This is not good news. I have several thoughts on what to try next, but I think it best to wait a response from MD.

Next thing to do would be to try one more time to leave it overnight completely unplugged and to try again tomorrow.

If that fails the next step is to attempt to reload the firmware via a USB stick, the downside of this is that it will lose any recordings that are already on the IceBox.

Stephanie,

What type of device are you using to post to this forum?

Is this like the message you are getting?

Hi there, I'm on my iPhone 13 sending these messages and yes that's the screen I'm stuck on. When I attempt to save and exit it just bounces back to this screen

Hi Stephanie,

As we can't update it via a PC/Mac try leaving it unplugged again as we've had one other that eventually did restart after a couple of tries. If that fails after tonight, try again tomorrow and the same on Sunday trying again. If they fail I'll post you a USB drive to reboot it with new firmware on Monday.

Remember, if it does restart do a soft reset too.
