Konfabulator widget now in beta

IceTV now have Konfabulator widget for Mac or PC.

The widget gives subscribers a full 7-day TV guide on their desktop.  

Those who have not yet subscribed to IceTV can still use it but get just 1 day's guide to tantalise them.

If you'd like to be at the cutting edge of IceTV's foray into the world of Konfabulator, it's NOW AVAILABLE FOR FREE DOWNLOAD FROM http://www.icetv.com.au/downloads.php

You will need to install Konfabulator from http://www.konfabulator.com/download

A similar Dashboard widget for Mac will be released next week. It will be fully interoperable with EyeTV!

Peter, its very cool - the only thing I would add to it is a search function.  

Oh and it doesn't come to the fore when i hit F8 like my other widgets.

Edit: doh, i tried it again and it did come thru.

I found the F8 thing a bit confusing - you can change the way it operates by right clicking on it then Widget Prefernces and chnage the Level of Window.

However the most predictable mode is the default, and don't use F8, just use Windows' usual go-to-desktop thing.

If you have a Mac, the Dashboard version which will be released next week is even sexier.  And it will set recordings on EyeTV!

Doh, Im stuck on PC's atm.

Peter, can you please ask the Guide formating types to pay some attention to the "Sport/Motorsport/Movie tags" subject in the "Ice XML Guide (General)" forum.

The "MotorSport" summarys are a real issue for me and if it's not fixed in 4 months when my sub runs out I'll be reluctantly but seriously considering going back to a grabber to feed TEDS & my Toppy!

Thanks for the comment. It's definitely something we want to add for version 1.5 or 2.0.

It's looking like there will be a new version in a few days that'll sort out a couple of minor bugs, including the issue gomax is having.

Yep, I like this, have been running it for a few days now.
I also have the "only going to wednesday" issue, I discovered this yesterday when attempting to view what was on thursday night (notice silly season has a whole bunch of new progs and wanted to double check thursday pm).
Also have the issue of not showing the "subtitle" as I call it for a prog.

This should be fixed with the current beta! Please check it out and let me know if you're still having problems.

By this do you mean the episode info? It's in the dash version, and should be in the konfab version very soon.

</rating>See "sub-title" is the episode name, I notice it doesn't appear in the konfab widget window, even when clicking the item you only see the description bit.   Also, can you put <rpt> at the end of the description (or at the top, whatever) if you have the repeat flag, and perhaps the parental rating if you have the parental flag please??

episodes will definatly be added
the current dashboard beta that was released today already has them
Konfab hasnt had them added simply because its much harder to add them in konfab
But they are coming
