Hello and How accurate is the guide re HD shows
« on: November 12, 2005, 05:15:16 PM »
Hello first post here.

Been trying out the Iceguide and do like it .

Wondering though how accurate the EPG listing is for HD shows
For example today set The Magnificent Seven to record on 7 HD, but unfortunatley only ended up with the 7 HD loop.

Was listed as being a HD show ?

On another note, I find it odd that the listings for the HD channels only contain the shows that are supposed to be HD.
That means that if somethin is on that channel it can't be automaticlly recorded if its not HD and there are large gaps in the guide.
I usually only have the HD channels in the guide except for 7 which has a loop during the day.
The other byproduct of this is that if I set all my channels to the SD listings I can't have the SD channel listing for 7 as welll.

I am finding the guide really good otherwise, so I am wondering if there is a fix for this.

No replies?

Maybe I'll put it this way, how come the HD listings don't list all programs for the channel ?
I mostly use the HD channels and don't have the SD channels setup, except for 7.
Reason being 7 does not run programming during the day, runs a demo loop in Melbourne.

Hoping for some ideas.

I was just about to raise the same issues  ;)

Yeah this is annoying!  Can't use one listing for > 1 channel.

Maybe Windows Vista MCE will improve this?

(All in all the system is very good. Thanks IceTV for a great service)

Hey guess what my post was 2 plus months ago and no other replies, not even from Icetv.
So I guess no one else is bothered by this.

I figure most people just have SD channels setup because they don't have HD tvs.

Glad to hear you like the service, I'm using Bladrunner now.
