Hi there,
Yeah, we've been reading the same posts actually, and trying to figure out the best solution. It appears that the new registry key we added to IceGuide4MCE.exe 1.5 is causing the crash, so we'll have to take that out and find another solution. At the moment the only idea we've seen that seems to work is to keep rewriting the server location key every once in a while. Not a great way to do it, but maybe the only way right now. That would mean installing another program that runs on a scheduled basis, or maybe adding it to the PIMP client, for those using it. On the other hand, if the KeepKey program that people are talking about is working, maybe there's no need to create another program to do the same thing. (?)
At the very minimum, it looks like we need to go back to version 1.4.
To remove the registry key that's causing the crash, save the following lines to a file called "disable.reg" and then run it:
REGEDIT4
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media Center\Service\EPG]
"disableUpdateDiscSvc"=-
We're still looking into all the options and keeping an eye on what people are finding, and we'll let you know if we find a better solution.
