IceTV EPG Content / Killing Eve - surely it's a repeat?
« on: September 18, 2020, 12:16:08 AM »
It’s currently listed as a new series

Killing Eve
'Nice Face'
ABC HD, 1:05am, Thu, 24 Sep 2020, 45 minutes

Given the time of this screening I suspect it’s a repeat

General Discussions / What times are the IceTV guides updated
« on: March 25, 2020, 06:18:29 PM »
Hi - what times are the IceTV guides updated each day? I appreciate they're probably updated progressively but are there times they're "published"?

I'm in conservation mode of my data connection (long horrible story why I find myself doing that) at the moment and only enable it a couple of times a day - just looking for some advice on the timing of the major updates to the guides so I can align with them by forcing an IceTV update on my Wiz

Beyonwiz / T Series - Scheduling Conflicts Bug with IceTV
« on: November 04, 2018, 05:07:33 PM »
I have made a Support call with IceTV and had confirmation back that there is a bug that has started to impact T Series Beyonwiz's (note I originally referred to only T2's but it's all T series units)

The symptoms are that you will start to see random scheduling conflicts being reported from your T2 - even though there is actually no real reason for a conflict ie one of the three tuners are available to make the recording

Note it's not happening with all recording - so just keep an eye out for random conflicts happening

I have been told it's a random type bug that has just started occurring and that IceTV are aware of it and are looking into it and will be working on it on Monday

So hopefully it will be resolved quickly

IceTV EPG Content / your Money - Channel 95 launching 1 October 2018
« on: September 25, 2018, 06:58:09 PM »
Will iceTV be providing a guide for this new FTA Digital channel - your Money - launching on 1 October 2018?

General Discussions / Weekly email subscription?
« on: April 18, 2018, 11:14:09 PM »
I used to get a "whats coming" / highlights email from IceTV - but haven't received one for ages. I saw a recent post that mentioned it though so does it still exist and come out weekly?

If so how do I activate being on the list to receive it? I do have the box re receiving emails ticked in my IceTV profile

IceTV EPG Content / Star Wars Movies - Sundays @ 8.30pm?
« on: October 13, 2017, 07:34:39 PM »
Channel 7 are going to be playing all 7 Star Wars movies on Sunday nights over the next 7 weeks - they're advertising them now - at the moment the guide is showing TBA
When you do pick it up will it be possible to make it a series - or will I need to setup a key word to capture them all?

Question on this one is whether this episode is a repeat or not
Come Dine With Me - Sun 3 Jan - Preston - Part 5 - Is it really a repeat?
Part 4 is on just before it and is not marked as a repeat so can't see why it would be that Part 5 would be a repeat

Don't know about others but we're finding the new Channel 9 LIFE channel has some interesting shows on it (we like watching the House Hunters Property series and seeing the relative costs of housing around the US and the world

SKIPPA / "Integrity" error when recording
« on: December 26, 2015, 09:24:12 AM »
This issue just started last night - Skippa wont record anything - the recording appear in My Week and look fine but when the time rolls around to record they fail to record and appear in Failed Recordings with "Integrity" error
Any ideas on what might be causing this error so I can fix it

I've tried Signing Out for IceTV and Reset EPG from SKippa icetv menu and also resent recordings from my IceTV profile - I guess the next step is a Factory Default reset of the Skippa (trying to avoid that if possible (although I'm getting pretty good at (re)setting up my Skippa these days...)

IceTV EPG Content / Clarke And Dawe - ABC
« on: December 03, 2015, 07:23:37 PM »
Last week this short comedy/satire programme Clarke and Dawe at approx. 6.55pm on Thursday on ABC before the news was in the guide - but this week it wasn't listed.
Could it be added to the guide as a series given its on each week?

This thread is for those who upgrade to Firmware update 1.1.10604 released on 18 October 2015

I'll start the ball rolling:

1. It's great to have Auto Ad Skip processing working again (although it does seem to put a lot of load on the system and that can result in unpredictable/slow performance)
2. Stability seems to have improved - the jury is still out on this one though
3. Streaming media across my network has improved - still laggy on navigating the network drive and folders but once playing media across the network it seems to be working fine

Let's post our experiences here - hopefully there will be a next version of the firmware that can fix issues - and introduce access to the FTA guide as an option

Let me share an update – although probably short on the specifics that I'll leave for IceTV to release as they come to fruition

I was lucky enough to attend a group discussion today with IceTV management and staff at their Sydney offices where they sought out the views of half a dozen of their long standing customers who have been active in providing feedback on forums over the years. It was great to meet some of the other customers and forum members - and it was a great relief to discover that we all shared similar views of the key current issues we all face with IceTV albeit across multiple platforms - none of which are "fatal" by any standard - but it was good to hear that IceTV staff recognised them and have plans to redress many (all?  ;D) of them with future releases and Ice box

We did discuss the new Ice box and it sounds pretty exciting in terms of the features and capabilities that they intend to include in it – as Apple has shown controlling the hardware means you can deliver features with certainty about how they will respond and perform. We discussed target pricing and I think they have a good handle of what features they must provide and a competitive price that people would be prepared to pay for them

It won't be the only platform they support but it will deliver a very rich IceTV experience – customers will of course still be able to continue to use IceTV services on a range of PVR's, just as they do today

They also shared a number of other initiatives they are working on around harnessing the media experience in homes – accessing media files from various local and online sources and utilising multiple media devices on a network – providing a interface to media stored on various devices on the network and utilising other resources such as tuners on multiple devices on the network via IceTV

We also heard how they are focussed on providing a better experience around recording conflicts – I think we've all had the challenge of scheduling conflicts on devices

To provide some hope for other areas of improvement – think automated ad skipping – now who wouldn't want that provided!

As a long term IceTV user with 2 Windows Media Centers and a Beyonwiz PVR I was encouraged by what I heard today – they've looked at what is needed to manage multiple media sources and of course free to air TV and come up with a strategy and products which will cater for many of the enhancements that we've been looking for

I'm sure they'll start to share some of specifics for their product plans over the coming months – but I for one can see a bright future for IceTV if they deliver on their plans!

IceTV EPG Content / Celebrity Apprentice Australia - Missing Episode
« on: November 11, 2011, 05:40:32 AM »
The Thursday 7pm episode for Celebrity Apprentice is missing from the IceTV guide (Sydney Metro) - this was the case last night (bad WAF from missing that one) and for next Thursday
The show airs nightly at 7pm on Nein each week day - but for some reason the guide does not have the 7pm Thursday episode scheduled
Can you check and get it fixed please

IceTV EPG Content / Coronation Street - Repeats v Non Repeats
« on: August 31, 2011, 08:22:27 PM »
Can you check out how the episodes for Coronation St are being marked for Repeats
The ones in the very early morning are repeats of the ones screened in the morning the day before
Can you mark only the early morning ones as repeats - not both - it used to be set that way but in the last week both episodes are marked as repeats - I had it setup to only record First Runs but have missed episodes this week because they are now both marked as repeats

I don't want to spam the forums but thought some members might be interested in these refurbished Wiz's up for sale
I'm tempted to get one as a simple backup for my Windows Media Centres - but probably wont (how many tuners do I really need  ;D)

update: All over folks - deal has closed so no longer available
