The images in this week's Android App recommended seem a bit all over the place:
Shades of Blue has Rosehaven's image
Boys Don't Cry has Lion's image
War of the Worlds has Cgurchill's image
America in Colour has Rosehaven's image
The Shape of Water has Busted in Bangkok's image

The images in this week's Icepicks all seem to be correct, apart from the images for Retrograde, War of the Worlds and Boys Don't Cry being at the wrong aspect ratio.

Hmm, I have just had a look in the app and all of the images are showing against the correct show.

I do see some of them missing from iOS, and will have that fixed up in a sec.

Logging isn't enabled as far as I'm aware and even if it was, I would have to run & keep the log data over an extended period of time since I have no idea when the problem is triggered, etc.

I'm also not convinced that this is a Beyonwiz problem since others have reported this issue who are not using a Beyonwiz PVR. Having said that, the log data might still give an indication of the cause.

It appears that I getting this issue about once every 2 to 3 weeks ... that's a long time to keep logging data.

I am definitely looking into it, we are having troubles replicating the issue. It happened once to MD's U4 but has not since then, for this latest one we will have some server logs we can look at as well, but getting the timer log as prl described would also help.

So far the similar issues that were reported on other PVR's has proven to be a different issue, so at the moment all reports for this in particular are confined to Beyonwiz PVR's.

Within 5 minutes of the database issues we took the entire server offline to attempt to mitigate people getting a 401, then when the restore was complete we brought the server online and for 99%  of people it would just keep working.

The bigger problem is a quirk off the Amazon RDS restore page which ended up with the restore happening from 9:50 am instead of 9:50 pm as intended. This would also mean that people that logged in and created a token during the day yesterday would also need to log back in after the servers were brought online.

The token issue would only affect Beyonwiz T/U/V series PVR's and Humax 2tune's (except the 2tune's don't ask for the password they just log back in), older Beyonwiz's and all other PVR's don't use the new API and still use username and password for all requests so would not be affected by this either.

I have been fixing what I can today, and it looks like the majority of affected PVR's have settled down now.

Hi NIftymac,

It sounds like you are using Plex to record.

Having a look in the guide and we can't see anything different about that entry and on our test Plex system. In this instance it would be best to reach out to Plex support to try and find out why it won't set to record.

Thanks Alison. There is still the question of whether IceTV can provide both episode titles, and series #:episode # somewhere in the IceGuide or timers, but that is probably one for Daniel Hall.

Hi raymondjpg,

At the moment we don't have it displayed on the screen, or in the timer (it is in the EPG feed though). The series and episode number are available via the IceTV website in the TV Guide and on the My Week screen.

Hi aeb001,

I think there is something a little wrong with your Media Center actually.

Looking at the timer for the 11:25pm we got a message from your Media Center at 11:45am to say that the recording had just started and then at 1:15pm it reported that it had finished. So as the Media Center had reported that the recording was already finished this is why you would not have been able to remove it.

Btw, how many tuners do you have in your Media Center?

We have had the intermediate certificate updated.

We have found something else now, to do with an intermediate certificate that expired on the 30th of May and are looking into it.

Depending on the updates installed on the computer it will affect devices differently.

In general issues like this come down to a trust issue on the computer, or worst case scenario a man-in-the-middle issue.

Well the forum URL is not currently on a secure domain.

What actual URL are you looking at on our website?

And what ISP are you using?

I have just checked the IceTV website and its all secure and our certificates are up to date.

What browser are you using?

Hi BazzaG,

It looks like the recording was sent down on the 3rd, but then the Beyonwiz marked it as complete on the 6th for some reason. This is why its looking like it is on the website.

This has happened only once before that we know of, and I am having a look through our logs to see if I can find out what happened.

Beyonwiz / Re: Same program recorded 8 times on T2

Hi Ian,

Looking at the list of recordings confirms my suspicions, its not overlapping recordings, but multiple separate recordings where it stops and starts.

We have seen this once before on MD's Beyonwiz, and Beyonwiz never managed to find the issue, but it looked to be related to a crash in enigma2.

The only fix we managed was that he had to reflash the firmware via USB and set the device up from scratch, since then it hasn't happened again.

The simplest way to find out how to construct more complicated searches is to go to TV Guide TV Guide, and click on Create Keyword Recording or Favourite just below the search box.

That gives you a fill-in-the-form interface to creating the search. In the bar at the top of the page, you can see the query being constructed as you go. It also incidentally gives you a list of all the fields that you can search on.

To the IceFolk: I really don't like the very thin fonts and some of the colour choices in the support pages. In particular, I find the the pale grey text on a white background in the examples panel in the Keyword Record section of all but impossible to read, and the rest of the text merely hard to read (in Mac Firefox 75.0). I also find the thin fonts and colour of the links in the main contents page for support ( difficult to read.

Hi prl,

Agreed, we shall check it out.
