Yeah, i hadn't thought about that. I also leave my units on standby. I think I recall reading that timers are normally sent to the PVRs a week in advance of the recording (where they have been set). I would be happy to get an email warning say 6hr before a failed timer was due to start. Maybe the time period would need tweaking but something like that would suit.

That explains it, thanks. Can I suggest that an additional facility be added when convenient that emails me when interactive wants to set a timer but that timer is not set. My expectation is that if I ask for a show to be recorded it will be - but if it isn't going to be for whatever reason it would be useful to know that too.

I had two failed timer emails the day the service started and none since. I took one of my PVRs with me on holidays for 10 days where there was no ICE communications with it, surely all the timers that were appropriate for this period should have generated emails as they could not be set? Is this facility still operating?

Well, the guide is wrong. There have been new episodes aired all week. I have recorded some of them. The FTA guide does not show them, they're on at 3.55pm each day on ABC2 Part of "Arthur" at end. I knew because I overheard a promo for them just prior to my last post while my daughter was watching morning TV.

Today there was an episode of Series 3 (presumably, it was new anyway) named "The Skateboard" aired on ABC2 at 3.55pm. Not in the ICE guide, not recorded. There will probably be another episode at the same time tomorrow or if not (New Year) later in the week. If there's anybody on deck can this please be fixed ASP.

The current series of STS episodes being shown on ABC2 are Series 3. They are not repeats. Please adjust your EPG entries that show them as repeats, else those of us who have set recordings to catch only first runs will not get them.

I have the 19th July email here and, from memory, when I opened it I seem to recall a message that the discount code (or whatever) had already been used the maximum number of times possible.

The email of the 20th is a bit of a mystery however. I have emails from ICE on 14th, 24th and 28th September but none for 20th or 21st. so I don't see how I could have opened it.

All I did was delete all timers when I got up Sunday. The rest fixed itself. I didn't have any timers set for Sunday until 7pm and all was right by then.

Thanks, finally an investigation. Incidentally I received my "what's on this week" email at 5.30 pm last evening. It's a useful part of your range of services - would be even more useful if it came before Mon PM.

As I already said I did check my held mail (at internode) - its not there. As I don't use facebook and twitter why can't I just get an email like (apparently) everyone else?

But even if I did use social media your solution is only useful if I can find out about the offer from elsewhere before it has expired. Didn't happen in this case.

I read on the Topfield forum that a special $49 offer was available on 21 Sept. Apparently an email was sent out advising of this. I didn't get one. And yes, I have checked my junk/held mail. this is not the first time I have failed to get emails that others have received and I have complained about it here before.

Based on this past experience I am probably not the only one to miss getting the email. Can the matter please be resolved this time?
