General Discussions / Re: NextPVR
« on: November 16, 2020, 10:35:07 AM »
Justin,
I've just started using NextPVR for my recordings.  I'm running it simply in Windows 10.
The paid service from IceTV is only the guide information and it integrates very well in the NextPVR application.
There are no ways to remotely use IceTV to schedule recordings, but you set up the series recordings etc. in Next PVR.
I am still to work out a small bug which I haven't had time to resolve which is where you set up recordings for just new episodes, but it still records some of the repeats.
Other than that, it's a reliable service to use.  Much better than using Windows Media Centre and having Windows Update disable it every month or two.
Regards.
Dave.

As it turns out, I believe it wasn't even an NCIS episode, it was Emergency.

I've been having similar issues with one off recordings I haven't requested, along with recordings being scheduled on both SD and HD Channels.

Windows 8 Media Center / More Windows 10 updates eating WMC
« on: March 20, 2018, 01:35:41 PM »
Folks,
Has anyone else lost WMC on Windows 10 in the last couple of weeks?
I uninstalled and reinstalled, but now I can't see the Pre-Padding option in the scheduled recordings.
Is anyone else having the same issues?
Thanks.
Dave.

IceTV EPG Content / Bones - 7Flix Melbourne
« on: November 21, 2017, 12:07:42 PM »
Just noticing that Bones ‘Glowing Bones In The Old Stone House’ is showing on Wednesday at 9:30pm.
It isn't listed as a repeat, but I thought the series had been completed and there were no new episodes.
Am I mistaken?
Dave.

Agreed.
This is the last episode from the previous season if the descriptions are correct.
Though if this is the case, it's probably worth watching to remember what happened and get ready for the new episode later in the week.

I think there was some confusion from Channel 7 as the guide for me showed Manhunt at 7:30 also, but it ended up recording at 7:30 and labeled it as Highway Patrol.

Mine recorded fine at 7:30pm in Melbourne.

Tiphanee,
I think one of the main issues raised here was that scheduling the recording of a Movie from the What's On email allows only Series recordings to be made.
This is contradictory seeing Movies are generally not regarded as Series.

We appreciate whatever you can do.

Yeah, I had to stream the end of the episode so I knew how the season ended.

Many thanks for your note regarding Whovians.  I apologise that you missed Episode 6, unfortunately the information provided to us by the ABC had this episode marked as a repeat.

We have made a note that it is incorrect and will keep an eye on it so you won't miss future episodes.

Hey Tiphanee, it appears that this weeks episode is also recorded as a Repeat at the moment.
Series 1: Episode 8 is listed as a repeat for Sunday 4th June.

Dave.

Andrew,
I noticed the same thing but got it in time.
It's repeated this afternoon and again in the early hours of tomorrow morning.

Agreed Peter.
Not enjoying the current series and they seem to be focusing a lot on Political Correctness rather than a good story.

I didn't get Episode 3 automatically recorded last week but I did manually set it and caught the Monday repeat of it.
I can see that this weeks episode is scheduled to record so it might have just been last weeks episodes that caused the issue (like maybe all showings were listed as repeats or something).
As for a waste of time, I'm tossing up.  The early episodes were painful, and I almost gave up.  Last weeks was better, but still may be a waste of time.  I'll see if it gets better.
Dave.
