IceTV EPG Content / Tour Down Under 10:00pm Sun 18th Jan on Nine
« on: January 15, 2015, 10:23:01 AM »
The "Stage 1 Highlights" subtitle is incorrect.  Stage 1 is not run till Tuesday.

The show will most likely be a delayed broadcast of the "Peoples Choice Classic", a Criterium pre-cursor to the actual Tour.

Topfield / IceTV timers not being set on TRF2460
« on: March 28, 2013, 05:37:38 PM »
My TRF2460 has been in storage for four months but has just been set up again.  Everything was OK except that no IceTV timers are being set.  EPG loaded from Ice without issue but no timers from Ice.

Setting timers manually is OK.

Tried a few things suggested in other threads like channel rescan, EPG reset, resend timers.  Even did a firmware upgrade to Jan 7 then repeat the other stuff but still no timers.  It would be nice if Ice had a log we could check but I think they prefer us to be mushrooms.

Can someone at Ice please investigate?

Tivo has now obtained C31 (Melbourne) program schedules - will IceTV be far behind?

IceTV EPG Content / "The Bounce" axed by Seven
« on: April 29, 2010, 08:54:31 AM »
Seven announced earlier in the week that "The Bounce" was being axed effective immediately yet the IceGuide still shows it scheduled for tonight in Sydney.

Please fix asap

The TV Guide and My Upcoming Shows did have an "All" option for a short while - but then it disappeared. Even when the option was there it would switch to single device view whenever I created a timer or series.

Along with the ALL option a column showing the device to be used would be my perfect solution.

IIRC there was a lot of argument in the case about "arrangement" of the data. I'm pretty sure the grid structure of some of Nine's "schedule" documents was also pat of their submission.

I could be wrong though - I never made it through the entire transcript. And much of it made little sense anyway. I was just suggesting it as a possibile factor.

it's interesting how talk of grid view has died off.

it is the most simple thing to do, yet you wont do it. You'd get far more subscribers if you had a grid view. You current list view is one of the hardest things to view, hard to see where conflicts are and is just over the top with minute by minute lists.
Why do you think it's simple?  Have you ever done it?  I did one for ToppyWeb and it certainly wasn't simple. I do agree though that it can be much easier to read.

BTW are you a member of the Horizontal or Vertical EPG grid camps?  That's another topic of debate.

Another factor for Ice while it was having legal issues with Nine avoiding as many similarities with other online EPGs that might be construed as evidence of copying. Despite the legal victory that concern might still apply, just as they still need to use their "predictive" methodology.

IceTV EPG Content / Re: NITV epg data in Sydney??
« on: January 13, 2010, 10:18:28 AM »
NITV in Sydney is now broadcasting a full EPG.  Assuming NITV will give Ice permission it would be really great to have this data available for Interactive.

Lots of music shows, documentaries, and sports on NITV not available anywhere else.
