Smart Recording on iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad / iPhone app help
« on: June 23, 2017, 08:51:54 PM »
Hi. On both my iPhone and iPad I am not able to set recordings. Hopefully the attachment works and you can see the error message. I get the same message on both iPhone and iPad. I have reset as per the instruction and this does not help.

Yes, my account is current and paid up for months.

Please advise. Thanks.

IceTV EPG Content / NFL repeat
« on: January 12, 2017, 09:49:08 AM »
Hi,

This happens most weeks, but I am only just now getting around to reporting it.

This week on Saturday at 0300 on 7mate in Sydney, the NFL playoff game between the Seahawks and the falcons actually starts at about 0830 on Sunday morning live, also on 7mate. What ever game they show at 0300 on Saturday morning will be a repeat. I am not sure what game they will run, but it will not be live and it will not be a first run (a repeat from last week I am sure). As I say this 0300 Saturday time slot is flagged as a first run most weeks when it is always a repeat.

Thanks in advance

Garrick

Howdy. All three games this week were an hour out, starting an hour into each recording. Even with 20 minutes post padding I missed most of the forth quarter of each game. Just an FYI.

Cheers

Howdy. Since installing the 604 firmware I have been experiencing audio drop outs during playback. It is not the recording as hitting the back 10 seconds button works and I can hear the audio after going back. I am using the provided hdmi cable.. The audio drop outs last about 5 seconds and happen about one a minute. Stopping playback and playing again does not help. Pulling the plug out, waiting a minute and doing a hard reboot does fix it for a day or so.. And then the dropouts start again. No big deal. Doesn't take long to do a hard reboot, but I thought I would mention it anyway.

Thanks

Thanks for the skippa firmware update. I have just installed it and am hopeful that this version will do the trick.

Good news all round. Thanks for the info Dave. It is appreciated. Hopefully my skippa will work as advertised again soon. Like some others, I also ordered a t4 on the assumption that my skippa would stop working soon.. Think I will keep it anyway just in case.. But that is minor.. I am just happy that icetv will continue at a price that I am happy to pay. The icetv epg and functionality is more important to me than my skippa.

Thanks.

It is hard to imagine that a person with these qualifications could be undone by the few hundred thousand Ice tv owe the importer (for the 1000 Skippa units).

Something is a bit fishy... I mean even more fishy than I first thought.

Add skip/ auto skip has stopped working on my skippa. Been stuck on one programme for days. I rebooted the skippa and tried a few things without luck. Came to the boards to see if others were effected and saw this thread.. SoI guess that auto skip has been deactivated for everyone?

Yes, I know this is a small thing compared with jobs at stake and others that have paid for units that they will not receive, but I am interested to know if it is just my skippa having issues or if this feature has been disabled despite the life time auto skip subscription.. I realise that this will be toast anyway If ice tv folds, but if it is still supplying the epg for the time being, then I don't see why they would have turned off the add skip feature?

Nope. The ice tv app shows as iPhone only. iTunes does not give me the option to load on my iPad and searching the App Store shows zero results on the iPad... Even searching through purchased apps.

4. Ad-skipping is hit & miss. Watching animated shows (Simpsons, Futurama) seems to trick it and the ad-skip triggers in the middle of the show and cuts off minutes of non-ad content. In non-animated shows it does OK but is only correct about 50% of the time.

Hello. I have had no problems with the auto ad skipping except for animated shows like the Simpsons. The skippa really has problems with these types of shows. I have found it better to not use the ad skipping feature for animated series. But I have had no problems with live action shows and movies. I am yet to record any live sport.. Monday morning, three NFL games back to back will be a solid test.

I like the ice tv app etc. I have not used ice tv before I received my skippa. It would be great if the app also had a tablet version as I am rather fond of my iPad. The web site however, works great on the iPad.

Other than the long wait for the skippa to arrive, I am happy with it now that it has arrived.

Hello. I also have had a program not record. It is still in my week scheduled to record yesterday... Going to leave it there to see what happens.
