Thanks, guys.

I have the HDD half full, so need to watch all that first, then I can check out the drive.

I guess no one knows the answer then?

Skippa had been my better PVR until this too!

I have just noticed lots of failed recordings since 29/5/2018, with the above error.

What could be the cause?

Received the full $417 from PayPal today for my 'non-working' Skippa using Warkus's guidelines (thanks Mark and PayPal).  :)

I was also getting this until I looked closely at the completed info that was showing.  Instead of a phone number my username had been auto-filled.  Once I corrected this I was able to proceed to the payment page - you may want to check this on yours.  As my account had 'expired' I had to process a one month 'top-up' before I was able to set up the auto renew.

Same thing with mine.  Looks like credit card is the only option though!

HI Dave.

I've got an issue also, every time I try to continue to payment page for the new service I get the following error message "Error in data returned from payment gateway, please contact support". I posted this to the IceTV revived thread also, but this seems like the more appropriate place.

Same here!

Brilliant news Dave, not only for us but for you and the staff.  I hope past subscribers come back on board because it is a tremendous piece of software.

I haven't looked but assume we will be told where/how to re-subscribe?

In a way, hope I don't require your assistance in the future!  ;)

P.S. Even enjoying the limited use of Skippa!

Well, I have funded 2 Australian companies upfront; Dillenger bikes through Kickstarter and Icetv/Skippa.

Not pleasant experiences!

Won't be doing it again!!!

P.S.  Hope EPG is saved and no more big ideas above their station.

TPH Insolvency says that the IceTV business continues to exist in its normal state for the time being, apart from the hold of shipping on Skippa boxes. With 10 staff and approximately 16,500 customers, IceTV has a long list of unsecured creditors to pay if it moves into insolvency. “The first steps are to keep the service going whilst we seek expressions of interest in the business. The service will continue as normal for the moment however that is subject to the prospects of finding a buyer in the immediate future.

“All orders for Skippa boxes have currently been put on hold given the uncertain future of the company. There is a hold on all supplies on new boxes and new subscribers. At this stage customers who have an outstanding order for the supply of a Skippa Box and suppliers are being considered as unsecured creditors. All creditors will be treated in accordance with the priorities legislated in the Corporations Act.

“We have not had an opportunity to investigate the basis for the company’s financial position or any specific aspect of it. We will be reporting more fully to creditors on this aspect once we have done our statutory review. The report will be released in approximately 5 weeks.”

Gizmodo has contacted IceTV’s CEO Heinz Herrmann, for comment. [IceTV]

Guess the HDD will fit in my PS4?

A proper on/off switch, so we don't have to keep pulling the power cord out when it freezes  ;)

Support have agreed to send me a replacement Skippa due to the non-updating clock and freezes, including a pre-paid return envelope for the probably faulty Skippa.

Regardless of the fact that a fully working Skippa would have been the best scenario, I am happy with icetv support at this stage.
