Where does one get the "free" version of CuteFTP?  I can find free trials that last for 30 days but not a free version.

Thanks,

Hi all,
Has anyone had difficulties getting a response from Ice TV Support lately.  I have tried to contact them via phone, email and their website and no one will come back to me?

Getting rather frustrated.

Have managed to get it to connect in Filezilla but when I try to copy anything to it get:

Server does not support non-ASCII characters.

And it fails

Any thoughts?

Humax / Best Method For Copying Content To The HUMAX HDR7500T 1TB
« on: March 21, 2013, 09:57:27 AM »
Hi,
I am wondering what methods people are using to copy content such as pictures, music and videos to the internal drive of the Humax HDR7500T 1TB.  Can it be done via your home network or only by copying the files to a USB device, taking them to the Humax and copying them up?

Thanks,

Humax / Creating Music Playlist Files on the HUMAX HDR7500T 1TB
« on: March 21, 2013, 09:55:16 AM »
Hi all,
I have read in reviews that the Humax HDR7500T 1TB should support Music playlists.  Can anyone confirm this and tell me what format the file needs to be eg: file extension and the best way of creating them.  I have tried speaking to Humax Tech Support and I keep getting a response about what format files it can play.

Any help would be appreciated as I have a substantial MP3 collection and having to individually select files each time is a pain.

Thanks,
Dwarfboysim

Humax / Re: Help required to FTP into Humax 7500T
« on: March 21, 2013, 09:44:54 AM »
Hi,
Can anyone explain how to get access to the Humax HDR7500T via FTP?  I have contacted Humax support in Australia and just get the same response "files will be encrypted due to copyright"

I need to know the following:

1. Correct username and password for FTP as it is not in my manual?
2. Best FTP program to use on a Windows 7 machine to connect to the Humax?
3. Does the HDR7500T need to be fully powered on or can you connect to it in Standby?
4. Any special settings that I need to set in FTP software or my router as it is all on my home local network?

Hoping you can help.

Thanks,

Hi all,
I have recently purchased the Humax HDR7500T 1TB and have a few questions I am hoping someone can assist with.

1. I have my router running as a DLNA server with an external 1TB drive attached to it.  When accessing content from the DLNA server I get a very slow response in folders with pictures.  When I go to run a slide show or cycle through the pictures it can take 30 seconds to 1-2 minutes to display the next picture.  Also when viewing some mp4 video files some play almost immediately others sit on a screen that says Processing for 1-2 minutes then start playing.  I have tried the same content pics and video on my iphone via the DLNA server and they play almost immediately and I can cycle through the pictures quickly and easily with no lag.

2. Can anyone confirm what the correct FTP username and password should be for Ftp'ing from the device as it is not in my manual and what settings need to be in the FTP Software.  I am using Filezilla.  Have contacted Humax tech support and just get the response that currently if I FTP files from the unit they will be encrypted.

3. Can the unit do playlists for music files?

4. One last question is there any way to copy content to the unit via your network.  eg: Pictures and Music or do I need to put all of it onto a USB drive and manually connect it to the unit to copy it?

Thanks,
Dwarfboysim
