Also, Hungry Beat next week has set the same episode to record for me on its first run on ABC1, AND on its repeat run on ABC2 the following night.

There are some shows that NEVER first-run on ABC2. At The Movies and Hungry Beast are two of hem.

I ended up disabling Ice and setting this one via ABC2's own EPG. I know this forum is "not constantly monitored", but seriously. Epic fail on this one.

Oh, also, the Sunday night At The Movies repeat on ABC1 was obviously NOT marked as a repeat, because my Beyonwiz dutifully recorded the episode I'd already seen days ago.

Come on, Ice. Lift your game. This is incredibly slack, especially when it's the ABC and you have full access to their guides and scheduling updates. I had to disable Ice completely to record the Tim Minchin replay last night, and have had to change my Good Game series options to "first runs AND REPEATS" just so I can be sure I don't miss an episode.

Good Game this Tuesday is marked in the Ice Guide as a repeat, with a description of "TBA".

It is not a repeat, but unless this is changed, people with it set as a series recording will miss it.

I guess IceTV users are going to miss this one, then.

IceTV EPG Content / Tim Minchin Live replay this Sunday
« on: April 01, 2011, 03:23:16 PM »
ABC2 is replaying the Tim Minchin Vs the Sydney Symphony Orchestra concert after they screwed up the broadcast the first time. This Sunday, 8.30pm to 10.50pm (even the non-screwed-up half of the show got cut off for those recording last time, since the show ran WAY overtime).

The latest update (2.5) with the iPhone version 4.3 seems to have a bug in which I can't record remotely. I can view EPG and cancel existing recordings but if I want to start a new recording there is no option.

Yeah, same issue here. I've had to use the Beyonwiz EPG to set recordings one-by-one for new shows.

Great to hear Ice is on top of it and has an update ready.

Thanks for the clarification; all fixed now.

In previous years, though, the "red carpet" show has been listed separately - it must have been, because I got the Awards but not the Red Carpet. Which is the way I like it :)

IceTV EPG Content / Academy Awards scheduling fail
« on: February 25, 2011, 11:11:18 AM »
Every year, I've admired the way that the Oscars just get scheduled for me by IceTV because I set it as a series record :)

Just looked at my timers now on my Beyonwiz, however, and I have a timer set on Monday for the Academy Awards Red Carpet, with a 30 minute run time.

I don't want the red carpet, I want the awards, and if I hadn't noticed it by chance, I'd have had a big illegal download to do ;)

Please fix.

IceTV EPG Content / Hope or Haiti telethon airing tomorrow on Ten
« on: January 22, 2010, 07:09:16 PM »
I'm told Ten is advertising this, though haven't seen the promos myself - Ten has announced that they will now air the "Hope For Haiti" telethon live from the US tomorrow (Saturday 23rd) at midday:

Their guide lists it as running 120 minutes.

Seriously. It is marked as a repeat. I don't know why you're not seeing it.

Actually, it looks like it was my fault, Mitch. I set a keyword record for "Good Game" just in case the Xmas special was named differently. Once I saw it wasn't, I deleted the keyword. In the meantime, that 3.25am repeat seems to have been set and removing the keyword didn't delete it.

My apologies :)

Yep, you guessed it, we're doing it again :)

Good Game listed for 3.25am Wednesday 16th as first-run on both ABC1 and ABC HD is most definitely NOT first-run.

Seriously. A first-run at 3.25am? Is someone not reading the ABC program listings right?

No ABC3 listings at all for me, be it in Interactive on this site, in the iPhone app or on my Beyonwiz's EPG.

Yes, I do have ABC3 checked in account prefs.

And yes, if I search for an ABC3 show like "Blast Lab" it does turn up in interactive and I can set timers for it.

Beyonwiz / Re: "65534 minutes to get scheduler tasks"!

And also adding my reply to that DTVforum post (edit: err, I mean Wiz forum post!) in this forum as well for maximum coverage...

Just did some testing. I set a timer via the iPhone app for a 90 mins away. Then played some Uncharted 2 :) and waited. At the scheduled time (3am) I looked and saw the Wiz was not recording the test show I'd set. Looked at the timer list, it was not there.

So I powered down the Wiz and immediately powered it back up again, then went into the Ice status page in Setup just in time to see it getting EPG data, then getting scheduler tasks... and then, and only then, did the timer get loaded and fire.

This explains a couple of incidents in recent days where I've remotely set a timer while I KNOW the Wiz is powered on, but it has not recorded the shows.

Big, big bug here. Given that the Wiz firmware hasn't changed forever :) I lay the blame on IceTV's server.

Same issue here. Screen looks like this:

I am wondering if this explains why schedules I've set via the iPhone app over the past few days have not been recorded by the Beyonwiz.

BTW, the time quoted there - 65000+ minutes - equals over 45 DAYS.
