IceTV EPG Content / Duplicate Timers, Duplicate EPG ...
« on: July 13, 2020, 09:01:06 PM »
Checking my timers for tonight earlier & noticed that there were 2 timers for "Adam Hills: Take His Legs (2020)".

Hmm! What?

Sure enough there are 2 entries in the IceTV EPG ... see pic.

Deleted 1 of the timers.

IceTV EPG Content / Planet America
« on: July 09, 2020, 12:51:23 PM »
Planet America is currently on a 2 week sabbatical. However, Planet America is still listed in the IceTV schedule for Friday night. Both shows return on the 22nd & 24th, respectively.

Also, the Friday night show is actually called "Planet America's Fireside Chat" and has its own iView webpage:

Whereas, "Planet America" iView webpage is:

Both are listed as separate, distinct shows on both iView and in the ABC TV guide and IMHO, they should also be listed as separate, distinct shows on IceTV as well.

Please fix both issues.

Yet another occurrence of this problem earlier tonight, which I noticed just minutes before broadcast.

This time for Grand Designs, same as before:

"This show recorded successfully on device Beyonwiz U4. This show is part of a series recording."

Same as this thread:

Given that there are other threads that have reported the same problem that have nothing to do with Beyonwiz, this appears to be a IceTV issue of some sort.

Can someone please kindly fix whatever is the problem.

IceTV EPG Content / Grand Designs
« on: June 03, 2020, 10:51:28 AM »
Yet again the ABC have NO idea what series they are broadcasting, or even the correct name for the episode...

The new series of Grand Designs; well to Aussie FTA at least, this coming Sunday is SEASON 20, and not season 17.

I would send the ABC a email pointing out the error, but the season will be finished before I get any acknowledgement from them.

And just as a FYI ...

The new series consists of 1 special episode (Kevin's Grandest Design), 6 new build episodes and 1 revisited episode.

Based on past experience, the ABC is unlikely to broadcast neither the special nor the revisited episode during "prime" time. The ABC may do so, when this series gets repeated at some future date. Perhaps the ABC will prove me wrong, at least, with the revisited episode. We will just have to wait and see.....

PS. They haven't broadcast the 2 GDA "revisited" episodes, according to their reply the ABC didn't buy the broadcast rights to those 2 episodes.

IceTV EPG Content / The Beach
« on: May 31, 2020, 03:36:34 PM »
On Friday night ALL 6 episodes of "The Beach" was broadcast in a contiguous block or as the SBS called it ... "one piece of cinema".

The six-part documentary series will air back-to-back as one piece of cinema. In a special three-hour TV event, NITV is proud to announce the world premiere of The Beach exclusively across NITV, SBS and SBS On Demand on Friday, May 29 at 7.30pm.

Warwick Thornton's The Beach, an exclusive three-hour network event premieres on NITV, SBS and SBS On Demand on Friday 29 May at 7.30pm.

It will be re-aired on NITV from 1 June, with [individual] episodes airing at 7.30pm each night, as well as on SBS On Demand.

Therefore, the 6 individual episodes broadcasting from tonight through to Friday @ 19:30 on NITV are technically repeats:

S01E01 - Too Mad, Too Shy
S01E02 - Grow You Little Bastard
S01E03 - Survived Another Day
S01E04 - Coconut Killer
S01E05 - Are You Here For Me
S01E06 - Don't Be a Dickhead

As broadcast on both SBS & NITV on Friday night there were no ending credits for episodes 1-5 but there were starting credits at the beginning of each episode.

Just checking my list of Timers on my U4 and noticed that there is NO timer for tonight's Catalyst episode, however, if I view the IceTV website it shows that it set for recording in the TV Guide or via "My Week". The TV Guide listing does NOT have it marked as a repeat episode (which its not).

Also, expanding the TV Listing it says:

"This show recorded successfully on device Beyonwiz U4. This show is part of a series recording."

That's simply NOT possible as this episode hasn't even been broadcast yet!!!! Not to mention that there is NO timer for it either!!!!!!

All of my other recordings that I have for tonight, such as, Foreign Correspondent, Mastermind, Adam Hills: The Last Leg, etc. ALL have timers set on my U4.

Yes, I'm aware, that I could resend all my recordings to my U4, but I shouldn't have to do that. A timer should have been created for the Catalyst episode just like they have been for today's other recordings.

So why hasn't a timer been created on my U4?

How do we prevent that from happening again in the future?

IceTV EPG Content / Save Me .... marked as a repeat but it's NOT
« on: May 06, 2020, 02:41:22 PM »
The NEW series to SBS FTA --- "Save Me"; which is even included in your "New Series" listing, is marked as a REPEAT !!!!

While this series has been available on SBS On Demand since January, tonight is the premier broadcast of the series on FTA TV.

IceTV EPG Content / Movie: Cooped Up
« on: April 30, 2020, 09:30:50 AM »
Just a minor error for the Movie: Cooped Up screening on 10 Peach Friday 1st May ....

The movie is Australian not American.

The remainder of the description is correct.

Another movie/TV show that correctly predicated the future!!!! In this movie, they even got the type of virus correct.

IceTV EPG Content / Australian Story - Monday 06/APR/2020
« on: April 05, 2020, 09:13:11 AM »

Australian Story on Monday night - "The Two of Us" is actually a repeat episode that was 1st broadcast on the 1st Aug 2016.

There is no indication on the AS website that the episode has been updated in any way, although I suspect that the end credits might be changed to indicate that Don Burrows died last month.

Your call as to changing the New/Repeat status...

IceTV EPG Content / Yet more errors in IceTV guide
« on: March 25, 2020, 10:04:04 PM »
Today's "The Wiggles World" had the incorrect episode name (& probably season number).

On the IceTV guide, the name was: "World Record Dancing", however, on the ABC TV guide (also YourTV & Ourguide) it was listed as: "A King Who Liked to Sing!".

Looking at the episode itself it's definitely "A King Who Liked to Sing!".

IceTV has this episode listed for Tomorrow, plus Friday & Saturday's episodes are incorrect as well.

The previous episodes matched the ABC TV guide.

It's possible that the ABC may have decided to pulled an episode.

Monday: Series 1 | Episode 7 | Stinky Cheese Day!
Tuesday: Series 1 | Episode 8 | Lachy's Curly World
Wednesday: Series 1 | Episode 10 | A King Who Liked To Sing!
Thursday: Series 1 | Episode 11 | Surfer Bop
Friday: Series 1 | Episode 12 | Emma's Weather Bag

If so, then it's not the 1st time that the ABC has dropped a cartoon episode or 2 because of some perceived reason that it's unsuitable for children's viewing (eg. Fireman Sam S10E06 & 07). Or perhaps the ABC decided to skip an episode.

Irrespective of the reason, I have to ask why can at least 3 other TV guides get it right and IceTV canNOT?

I have the following shows set to record:

* Habitus House of the Year (listed as House of the Year opn IceTV)
* Bluey
* Stateless

But ALL 3 broadcasts failed to record yesterday due to errors in IceTV TV guide.

Re: Habitus House of the Year

IceTV had a different show listed at the 11:30am start time.

Yet, other TV listings web sites had this show correctly listed, eg. YourTV & OurGuide + plus others.

Fortunately, it appears that CH7 has some repeats scheduled for next Saturday.

Re: Bluey

I noticed late on Sunday that Bluey hadn't recorded the 8am 1st broadcast on Sunday morning. This I have series recording for NEW episodes only, I also missed the repeat broadcast at 6:20pm. As a result I've completely missed recording the episode, and I will have to wait until the ABC repeats the episode sometime in the future.

I then noticed that Bluey for Monday morning was listed as a REPEAT. While I setup a recording for this mornings broadcast, I would have also missed this episode as well !!!

Re: Stateless

While I'm not exactly sure why there was no timer set on my U4, however, I believe it was for the same reason as Bluey, ie. marked as a REPEAT. Unfortunately, I realised that the timer was missing about 1 or 2 mins after Stateless started. Again, the ABC repeats the episode on Saturday night.

While I accept that late changes will be missed, eg. the ABC dumping of Grand Designs last night with a virus news special, surely whether a show is a repeat or not can be correct ... particularly given that BOTH Bluey & Stateless are NEW shows/seasons.

IceTV EPG Content / Big Fat Quiz of the Decade ... Repeat not New
« on: March 20, 2020, 10:28:20 AM »
Please note that Big Fat Quiz of the Decade is a repeat as it has been previously broadcast:

Friday 31 January   SBS VICELAND

IceTV EPG Content / Doctor Doctor tonight replaced by News special
« on: March 18, 2020, 03:29:56 PM »
As the post title says....

Doctor Doctor is out of schedule tonight as Nine adds another Nine News: COVID-19 special at 9pm.

The episode will now screen next Wednesday.

New Amsterdam will screen from 9:45pm, previously 10pm in Sydney & Brisbane, and Footy Classified in Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth.

Personally, I'm getting fed-up with these sort of changes ... Nine has 5 news pgms during the day and what really changes between 6pm & 9pm ... not much, if anything.

Nine *might* put this episode up on 9Now ... will have to wait & see.

Nine News has added a special on Coronavirus tonight at 9pm.

Join the Nine News team for the latest on the Coronavirus from Australia and around the world and how it will affect you.

This pushes Footy Classified to a 10pm start in Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth on their first night back.

Tonight's episode of Botched moves to Monday next week.

Tonight's 6pm broadcast of Mastermind Australia on SBS in *NOT* a repeat.

I noticed it missing from my timer list ONLY because I added a timer for tonight's broadcast of Insight.

Just to sure, I've manually added a timer.

IMHO, these silly little errors shouldn't happen, yet this sub-forum is full of user posts almost on a daily basis with such errors.
