Good Game this Tuesday is marked in the Ice Guide as a repeat, with a description of "TBA".

It is not a repeat, but unless this is changed, people with it set as a series recording will miss it.

IceTV EPG Content / Tim Minchin Live replay this Sunday
« on: April 01, 2011, 03:23:16 PM »
ABC2 is replaying the Tim Minchin Vs the Sydney Symphony Orchestra concert after they screwed up the broadcast the first time. This Sunday, 8.30pm to 10.50pm (even the non-screwed-up half of the show got cut off for those recording last time, since the show ran WAY overtime).

IceTV EPG Content / Academy Awards scheduling fail
« on: February 25, 2011, 11:11:18 AM »
Every year, I've admired the way that the Oscars just get scheduled for me by IceTV because I set it as a series record :)

Just looked at my timers now on my Beyonwiz, however, and I have a timer set on Monday for the Academy Awards Red Carpet, with a 30 minute run time.

I don't want the red carpet, I want the awards, and if I hadn't noticed it by chance, I'd have had a big illegal download to do ;)

Please fix.

IceTV EPG Content / Hope or Haiti telethon airing tomorrow on Ten
« on: January 22, 2010, 07:09:16 PM »
I'm told Ten is advertising this, though haven't seen the promos myself - Ten has announced that they will now air the "Hope For Haiti" telethon live from the US tomorrow (Saturday 23rd) at midday:

http://ten.com.au/ten-hope-for-haiti.htm

Their guide lists it as running 120 minutes.

...from this time last year.

http://www.abc.net.au/tv/guide/abc2/200810/programs/LE0707H025D6102008T210000.htm

It's currently showing up as first-run.

Note that there are no new episodes of Good Game for three weeks.

IceTV EPG Content / "The F Word" on 7TWO is not Ramsay and not a repeat
« on: November 06, 2009, 06:45:52 PM »
In yet another example of Seven doing their best to make sure people DON'T see their first-run shows, turns out that the scheduled episode of The F Word on 7TWO tonight and for the next three weeks is NOT the UK show with Gordon Ramsay, and not a repeat. It is a first run episode of a local version featuring Matt Moran:

http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2009/11/f-word-just-an-entree.html

The show's marked as a repeat in the Ice Guide, because everyone expected the Ramsay version. But it's not :)

IceTV EPG Content / Good Game ABC1 tonight - it's a repeat
« on: October 23, 2009, 08:51:02 AM »
Err, yes, as the subject line says :)

Friday night's "Good Game" on ABC1 is always a repeat of the Monday ABC2 screening.

Just noticed my Beyonwiz has scheduled the repeat to record, which means someone forgot to set the repeat flag ;)

IceTV EPG Content / Hey Hey - on Saturday (this Saturday!)
« on: October 01, 2009, 05:53:18 PM »
Got tipped off by Eskimo Joe about this one, and just verified it with the guide at YourTV.

Nine's encoring the god-awful Hey Hey reunion this Saturday (irony!) at 9.30pm through to 12am (it'll run to 12.30am with its built-in "accidental" overtime).

Nine HD also (though the show was in SD).

IceTV EPG Content / City Homicide recorded in SD
« on: October 01, 2009, 08:56:31 AM »
Like the subject line says :)

Can't see any reason for it, but last night's City Homicide recorded from 7SD instead of 7HD. Ice scheduler is set to "prefer HD" for this show.

IceTV EPG Content / Everything ABC1 is listed as ABC HD
« on: October 01, 2009, 06:30:53 AM »
Just noticed this last night when not just Tara, but also At The Movies and Hungry Beast (neither of which are HD) were recorded from ABC HD -

All ABC1 content is currently being mirrored in the ABC HD listings in Melbourne, regardless of whether it's HD or not.

And yes, I have checked that my "copy SD shows to HD" setting is turned off :)

Just saw a promo on the ABC on a recording from last night, which was promoting the fact that tonight's VFL Grand Final (scheduled for a 10pm broadcast on ABC1) will be shown in HD on ABC HD at 7pm tonight - presumably, a live broadcast. Going by the scheduled time on the SD channel, I'm guessing this'll go for 3 hours.

Cannot provide any online confirmation, since as far as the ABC's web site and iPhone app are concerned, ABC HD doesn't exist. But the ad clearly stated ABC HD, 7pm, in high definition (they called it a "revolution" or similar, amusingly :)

"The United States of Tara", which begins airing next Wednesday 29th on ABC1, will also been shown in HD on ABC HD - this is confirmed by the ABC's own web site:

IceTV EPG Content / Ghost Whisperer 7HD listing wrong for tonight
« on: July 09, 2009, 11:22:23 AM »
Just because Seven doesn't give a toss about its HD channel and constantly forgets to update its 7HD listings even when making last minute changes, don't assume they're doing breakaway or anything :)

Ghost Whisperer has been moved to 8pm in Melb tonight (advertised) due to an hour-long Home And Away. You've updated the SD listing, but left the HD one at the old time, even though there is no way in hell they'll differ. It's Seven. They don't do breakaway in primetime.  And they advertised the same 8pm slot on 7HD.

I've had to add the SD version as well to see the end, since the various perils and pitfalls of adjusting/adding manually on the Beyonwiz give me no other choice.

Come on guys, there's some reading between the network lines needed these days. If I hadn't have noticed the tail end of the promo when watching a recording last night, I would have missed half the show.

Since Seven got cold feet last Tuesday due to the competition showing a charity football game, Packed To The Rafters was not shown last week in Melbourne. Instead, both last week's and this week's episodes will be shown this Tuesday, from 8.30pm, according to promos run on Seven last night ("two hour season premiere") as well as TV Tonight:

http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2009/06/melbourne-delays-rafters-return.html

Curiously, Seven's own Yahooooo TV guide *and* YourTV are ignoring this fact, but trust me, it's TWO hours this Tuesday for Melbourne. I'd recommend fixing the Ice Guide for Melbourne users or there'll be some upset Melbourne people ;)
