General Discussions / Re: Changing Guide Region
« on: June 23, 2019, 06:35:49 PM »
 Hi Trial_Master,

There is really only one thing that would stop old timers from being removed and then re-created using the new regions channel information (this is all automatic once you change region) and this is if you have specified a network that isn't in that region (i.e. selecting the "Ten Network", then going to a regional area that is serviced by the "Win Network").

The solution is to disable IceTV then enable it again. WHy this should be necessary excapes me; the important thing is that I now have EPG for 9Gem HD.

Ian

This would just force a full download of the IceTV guide and channel information. Generally it shouldn't be needed, but it can never hurt.

Can't yet see the EPG in adelaide ...

We found an issue with Adelaide and Darwin, these have been resolved, you should see the guide within the next 15 minutes or so.

Hi Daniel

It’s the old Your Money. Now 9GEM HD. It’s being discussed here https://www.beyonwiz.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9719&view=unread&sid=5e5704a3546625f24ebdb0f410cd3459#unread

I like the sound of this, will look to setup and enable it in the morning and send out an email with advise (can't do it now or recordings for tonight will have issues).

Hmm, if this is a new channel we will need to investigate, we will enable it ASAP once we get the details, but it might take a day or two to ensure that enabling the channel will not mess with current recordings.

It is showing up in my 'My Week' as -
This show is scheduled to record on device Lounge - T4. This show is part of a series recording.
Episode 4, 5, and 6 are all the same.  Episode 6 doesn't have the "new show" icon, perhaps it's no longer "new enough".

Absolutely correct, its scheduled after midnight on the next day, that must be the cutoff (would have to look up how many days after the first airing the actual value is).

Hi raymondjpg,

I had a look at it, and it looks like episode 4 was scheduled previously but is currently marked as 'cancelled by user', this would have been from a message from your PVR. There is a bug that is currently being worked on (and there is some mitigation in place now in the current beta plugin) that can cause this to happen.

I have cleared the flag now and it is now scheduled again.

Adding these to the TVDB is definitely helpful, this will also help you within Plex as well.

Sadly there is a lot of times where Australian broadcasters don't always air shows in order, but if the details are in TVDB then it will definitely be much easier to add them to our guide.

The descriptions will always be a little different as for copyright reasons we write our own.

I've been largely ignoring all this SBS mess.  I usually set recordings to "any network" (since a few of my shows have emigrated to different networks) so I figured it will sort itself out.
So, should I do something different?  I suppose I should do a re-scan after the 1st July to get the correct names etc.

If you have SBS Viceland HD enabled then it won't affect you at all.

IceTV EPG Content / Re: The Project - repeats
« on: June 19, 2019, 05:33:40 PM »
Hi Peter,

The episode numbering for shows like The Project that are not episodic are auto generated by the system, and it was specifically because of The Project that the time was also added to the episode (instead of just the date) as otherwise Plex was showing a showing just after midnight on a given day (which was a repeat of the night before) as the same episode that was on that night (which it wasn't).

Unfortunately there is no other way to handle this at the moment given how Plex uses XMLTV feeds.

Hi Guys,

We got some more info back from SBS this afternoon that all regional areas are now playing the advert loop, and we have updated the guide accordingly.

An email is currently on it's way out to everyone as well advising to use SBS Viceland HD from now on.

It also does look like a re-scan will be needed when SBS World Movies starts as well, we will send another email to customers just before it starts to advise of this, we are just trying to get some clarity now on when the change will be done by SBS to see if it can be done before the actual programming starts.

The guide has been updated now in all Capital Cities to reflect the looped promo, but left as is for regional areas, will monitor the situation and try and get some clarity from SBS.

Maybe you’re not getting World Movies?

It's possible, but not likely, more than likely they just haven't gotten around to updating the channels as yet, especially as this change today was not communicated at all (just the 1st July change), and there is no mention of not going to regional areas on the updated page today.

Actually, they’ve been broadcasting a permanent message on the screen saying that Viceland was moving today for at least a week. But you would only see it if you watched the SD channel

Yeah, still not good enough though in terms of updating guide data.

And now the question is when regional areas will have the SD channel turned off as well.

Does it say on the channel itself under the logo?

Nope, nothing at all, just the standard Viceland logo.
