Hi BazzaG,

I can't see anything specifically in your account that shows these episodes being cancelled by the IceTV server, but also no messages from your Beyonwiz to say that it had cancelled them.

I don't suppose you have debug logging enabled?

Hopefully prl has some ideas on where to go next.

IceTV EPG Content / Re: Movie: The Divine Order - synopsis problems

Hi prl,

While we have fixed a lot of the issues with these characters in our API's, there are still some issues that need to be worked on internally which can cause some of these.

Plex / Re: TV Series identifying as movies
« on: September 12, 2019, 09:31:03 AM »
Hi johnno68,

This is most likely caused by using our generic XMLTV feed rather our customized Plex feed. We have put some extra info into the Plex to ensure that shows always show up as shows instead of movies.

You will need to delete the DVR within Plex and then re-set it up using the steps at

There was definitely an issue with the preview function, so a quick fix a while ago was just to remove the button for it.

This had to do with a number of things, but because of resources we are waiting for SMF to have a final 2.1 release then will upgrade our install which will fix a lot of issues.

IceTV EPG Content / Re: SD vs HD content
« on: August 16, 2019, 10:08:45 AM »
In general yes the HD channel is a straight simulcast of the SD channel but in higher quality, there are some weird exceptions though, but its mostly around the AFL.

For example in Perth this weekend 7HD is showing 7Mate programming instead of 7 programming, but just for Saturday night so that the AFL game can be played in HD, there are really not many times this happens though (and so far we have only seen this in Perth).

Actually, for MediaPortal do you know of any of category's that it looks for that should also be listed first to allow for easier filtering in their guide?

Sorry for the silence on this one, but yeah we should be able to do this one.

Due to some other projects going at the moment it won't happen overnight, but will post back once this is done.

We are seeing an issue with the feed at the moment and will update as soon as we have some more information.

IceTV EPG Content / Re: Shaun Micallef is Mad As Hell
« on: July 18, 2019, 05:38:14 PM »
Hi, Gai.

I can see the changes now, but they don't correspond with what's in the ABC online EPG for the ACT. In particular, as both Grumpy_Geoff and I have posted "Mad As Hell" will not be broadcast on ABC HD tonight, only on ABC SD, and from 21:00 tonight to 03:40 tomorrow morning the ABC online EPG for the ACT shows ABC and ABC HD having different schedules, not simulcasts.

I have series recordings for all three of Mad As Hell, No Offence and Humans, but with the current IceTV schedule, the timer set on ABC HD for Mad As will record the first half of No Offence, the timer set for No Offence will record the last half of No Offence and ABC Late News, and the timer that should have been set for Humans has disappeared from My Week.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is just an issue with the ABC's online guide not updating as yet.

Having a look at EIT in Wollongong and Mad As Hell is showing on ABC HD at 9:01pm which is mirroring what is listed for ABC SD as well. with No Offence being after it at 9:33pm.

Plex / Re: Full IceTV Subscription vs Plex Subscription
« on: July 16, 2019, 02:45:11 PM »

I started my 3 month trial a few weeks ago and so far it IceTV guide has worked well on my Synology DS918+. Series recording, guide search, etc all okay. I will be proceeding to subscription.

The only complaint I have is to do with thumbnails, there are only generic text-based thumbnails for many shows including World Cup Cricket, Wimbledon, AFL, ABC news, SBS World News and many others. I also notice that actor thumbnails do not appear for many shows, but this may be a Plex issue?

Can IceTV provide proper thumbnails for all shows as were provided by the recently suspended Plex Guide Service? Why the generic text-based ones?

Hi Batts,

IceTV does not have actor thumbnails within its data so this is why are you are not seeing them, as for the program images we canít obtain all the images due to copyright which major international aggregators such as Gracenote probably pay for in amounts that would exceed our total Australian EPG revenue! So Iím afraid there is nothing we can do.

Plex / Re: Foreign Language Movies
« on: July 03, 2019, 02:15:21 PM »
Hi Pete,

You can see on the IceTV website what language a movie is in, along with what language the subtitles are.

Keywords and advanced searches can be done to find specific language movies as well.

We do include the spoken language within the XMLTV file that is downloaded by Plex, but it doesn't look like this is displayed within Plex itself.

Hi Daniel, the Plex Server version is and the Web is 3.95.2.

Here is a link to the Plex Server *.qpg install file.!Ak6EQQKOJDbmsQXrNgT3cmdyyr5k

Hi Robert,

Are you running Plex in a docker container? or directly on the NAS?

Plex / Common setup pitfalls using IceTV with Plex
« on: July 01, 2019, 05:33:55 PM »
One of things we are seeing come up regularly is that in regional areas there are commonly a couple of channels that have the same LCN, while normally this is not a problem Plex will ignore any channels with a duplicate LCN.

The good news is there an easy fix for this, on the Guide Settings tab in the My Account menu on the IceTV website you can modify the list of channels that is downloaded by Plex, or limit which LCN's are sent for each channel, if you change these settings and click on Save then just refresh the guide within Plex you should see the updated channel list immediately.
