EyeTV / Re: IceTv and Mac mini not syncing programs to be recorded

I just found a similar issue with my setup.

I am running Snow Leopard and EYETV is the latest version 3.3.3. I tried to remote schedule a series recording using the ICETV iphone app. It shows up with the Double red dots in the ICETV interactive guide. But in EYETV it is not showing up as a scheduled recording. I have tried a check now.

One of my schedules finally came through but it took many hours. Even though I have it set to update every hour and I was manually trying to update many times.

I am getting this error in the bottom left of the GUI in red, but nothing in the log.

I have tried disabling the firewall but that doesn't help.

Any ideas please?

I have successfully set my media box to sleep. I just created a dummy task in scheduler to wake the system up 1 min before the EPG update time.

Yep same here.

The EPG downloads OK.
Indexing is OK, even if I force a reindex the EPG has still not updated.
I checked the scheduled task history for ReindexSearchRoot and it has been running OK.

The problem seems to be that MCE is not accepting the update, if I check the backup files of the scheduled recordings they have also stopped being created.

I tried reinstalling 3.0.0.8 over the top of 3.0.0.10 and did an EPG download. It worked!
So I think that just reinstalling may be the key to forcing the update to work.
Next time it fails I'll try reinstalling the current version 3.0.0.10 and re-download the EPG.

BTW keep an eye on the ICE process I have found that it crashes out and I have to keep restarting it.

I have had to go back to 3.0.0.4 to get a stable EPG running.

The bugs in the later versions are just too bad.
3.0.0.5 = 15h padding and crashing.
3.0.0.6 = Errors in log and no guide update button.
3.0.0.7 = Guide downloads but not updating in MC and padding not working correctly.

So at this stage with 3.0.0.4 any scheduling that I try from my iPhone don't go through to my main box, but at least my EPG and padding are working.

If anyone needs 3.0.0.4 email me with your email address.

Hopefully 3.0.0.8 will be out soon!

There is definitely a problem with 3.0.0.7 with updating the EPG.

I have now gone back to 3.0.0.4. The update works fine with this version.

I think that there is something wrong with the latest version.

It happen again on the 29th. First symptoms were that the guide stopped updating. I was away for a few days and when I came back all guide data was gone. I tried download the guide, rebooting and reinstalling. Still nothing. Then I installed an older 3.0.0.4 version. Presto the guide came back! I upgraded to 3.0.0.7. The guide still looks OK.
I then checked my scheduled recordings. Bugger all gone.
I found an article on how to restore:-

I noticed that the last backup was on the 29th. Interesting, so all my attempts to update the guide since then must have been failing within Windows 7, as the ICETV log showed that the guide was downloaded 100%.

It has all been working fine on 3.0.0.7 then all of a sudden all but ABC channels displayed "No data available". I tried re-download the EPG and rebooting. I also checked that all of the channels where mapped to the -ICETV ones.

Finally I decided to reinstall Interactive 3.0.0.7 and re-download the guide. Now it is all working again, very strange.

Anyone else have this issue?

I went back to 3.0.0.4 and all is good again.

I didn't like 3.0.0.5 it I had two other major bugs (15h record times causing disk full message and crashing)
