EyeTV / Channel 9 progressively loses DVB info?
« on: February 06, 2010, 03:51:53 PM »
Over the last few days the DVB info on Channel 9 has progressively reduced until today I have nothing except "No EPG Data Available" for 9, 90, and 99.
Anybody else have this problem?
Is there a solution?
Thanks,
Greg

The direct download has only succeeded in deleting the existing widget but it still says it can't install the new one!
It only gets worse!
How about somebody send me one that works?

Did you unzip it?

Sure did. Double-clicked the .zip file and out it came.
Double-clicked the resulting file--not a valid widget.
I'll try a direct download from the web site and not rely on the widget to do the job.

My widget said--New version available!
Once downloaded Mac OSX 10.6 says--Not a valid widget.
It seems that every upgrade something goes wrong.
It's a shame  >:(  I like the detailed info the widget gives.

I found that the first time I downloaded this it said "Cannot install", and the old version was uninstalled.
What eventually worked was a re-install of (14) followed by a further download of (15).
I hope this helps somebody else (unless it was just a glitch on my computer).

The dashboard widget runs fine for me on 10.6.1, I've tried a fresh install 5 mins ago on a separate user account and that one also works.

I think we will need more information to track this down.

Could you please try closing and reopening the widget (or just resetting it using cmd-R) and then try selecting different types of show, not-scheduled, scheduled, keyword matches etc on the TV Guide, Popular, Upcoming, My Shows and see if any of them work?? ( reset the widget between tests )

If you have submitted a report to support and have a case number then make sure you send them any information you can from your troubleshooting...

Nothing works--re-set, re-install, re-authorise, no programs expand at all, and "my upcoming shows" screen has no content at all, despite lots of content on the web page.

I just upgraded to the latest widget (2.6 (14)) and the program pop-up is no longer working.
Imac intel duo--OS 10.6.1
Tech support has been queried--but the last time I queried them I gave up waiting for a response after 3 months!
