Beyonwiz / Problem synching from Icetv to Beyonwiz
« on: February 07, 2014, 11:07:47 PM »
If I record something using my Beyonwiz, it synchs to Ice tv OK. If I add a new recording to Icetv, it synchs to my Beyonwiz OK. So far so good. But existing recordings in Icetv won't synch to my Beyonwiz - they show a doughnut and say This show is waiting to be sent to device Beyonwiz. This show is part of a series recording. To get the existing recordings to work, I need to delete the series from Icetv, then set up a new series recording. Sometimes this gives me a greyed out series, even though there's nothing to prevent it recording. In this case I delete the series again, then recreate it, which works.

I figure that if I delete every series recording from Icetv and recreate it (possibly getting the greyed out thing and deleting that too) it will all be OK in the end, but I've got hundreds of recordings set up and this will take forever. Is there an easier way??

My setup: I have 2 Beyonwiz PVRs. One is functioning normally, the other has the above problem. I managed to create multiple entries in Icetv for the problem PVR, and deleted the duplicates after the problem started. Ice tv seems to be a little confused as to which recordings should be on which PVR. I added some recordings to the problem PVR via Icetv, but they showed up on the other PVR in Icetv.

I've tried deleting the timer lists and resending all recordings to both PVRs but this doesn't seem to have helped.

Any ideas on what I can try next??

Beyonwiz / EPG shows wrong programs for Eleven
« on: July 16, 2011, 08:30:53 PM »
I've got 2 Beyonwiz DP-P2s. On both of them I can tune in Channel Eleven (TEN's new channel showing crap repeats) which has recently gone live here in Darwin. On both machines the EPG shows Channel Eleven, but the programs shown are for the wrong channel - DDT-HD. When I use the EPG to select a "Channel Eleven" program (by selecting the DDT-HD program on at the same time), I get the correct program.  I've tried re-scanning the channels and setting Ice to give me the channel as Channel 11, Channel 55 and All, but with no effect. What am I doing wrong?

Totally agree. Some shows are listed as first runs on 2 channels  - eg National Press Club Address on ABC1 and ABC24. Unless I specify a time (never a good idea) I can't avoid recording both.

Great idea. Bring on the emails.

I often record 4 shows on my 2 Beyonwiz boxes (DP2s) and haven't had this problem.

This doesn't apply to you, but i've noticed that if I have 2 Internet Explorer windows open (one for each box), they both end up controlling the same box. I have to use IE and another broswer (Firefox) for it to work properly. This might explain some timers going to the wrong box, but not a series being differnet boxes.

FWIW, I agree totally. I've just purchased a second device and it's a total pain to work out what I'm recording. With pretty well all devices limited to 2 tuners, more and more people will be running multiple devices. IceTV could add a lot of value for not much effort.

Beyonwiz / Re: Episode not scheduled icon appears inappropriately

Thanks Russell. That has indeed solved the problem. Much appreciated.

I do receive the channels hidden from the web site (eg Nine SD), but had hidden them to avoid the double-listing of programs on the web site (eg with Nine HD). There's an occasional difference in the programming, so I thought I'd keep them all on the PVR. I didn't expect the scheduling engine to use channels that are hidden from the web site. Guess I'll have to re-think my strategy.

Thanks Russell. One example is Sunday nights - both CSI Miami's should be in red. Same story on Wednesday with both episodes of Without a Trace. Hoping you can help...

Beyonwiz / Episode not scheduled icon appears inappropriately
« on: September 06, 2009, 11:34:12 AM »
I have a series recording set up and am expecting to see the red "Series recording" icon. However I see the grey "Episode not scheduled" icon. My Beyonwiz EPG shows the program in red, ie it is set to record. If I delete the series recording and re-create it, I see the red "Series recording" icon, but after the screen refreshes (with no other changes to recordings), the icon goes grey again. Is this an IceTV problem?

The series recording options are any network, any time, 1st runs and repeats, prefer HD, record all, so Ice should have no reason not to schedule it. There is a free tuner available on the Beyonwiz.

Does anyone else have this problem?
