IceTV EPG Content / Re: Seachange ... Wrong season number

My guide team start at about 7am doing late changes for that day and the next full 7th day and the changes within them all, across all capital and regional channels. Sometimes we hold off on late changes if we are unsure. They finish at about 5 -6pm. As long as you have a PVR that logs in every 15 minutes and it can cope with timer changes, as the Beyonwiz V/U/T series can (but some earlier ones had problems and would use a second timer for the update hence holding off as a second change wouldn't find a tuner plus other issues), then final changes will be updated in its guide.  So just set it now and it will auto-correct via IceTV to whatever time it finally airs. Getting impatient is pointless as the staff have to go home and, with a new PVR, just set it and it will change via the PVR login and IceTV for updates according to any change that may occur. Please be sure we are aware of discrepancy you now see, or are thankful that a forum post has alerted us, but the staff can't work 12 hours a day and we will update tomorrow.

With sport that runs over, and cricket is the prime example, we haven't got a crystal ball so have to go with the length of the show that the channel dictates however the simple solution is to always record the following show as well, or even two shows depending on their length.  Then you can be sure to capture it all.

Can you post this as a support ticket on our website so we can see what's going on and manage the issue through our support system.  All the ABC channels are always set to 'All' by IceTV.  There's a support button on the bottom left of the website or use 'Contact Us' under 'Help".

Hi ChrisW,

I found you in our system but no matter as IceTV does not support ch75 - 'Openshop', a shopping channel owned by Seven Networkl.  The reason being that it is not, as best we understand, suitable for TV recording. I don't understand why the Skippa hasn't found it except to suggest it was set up before the channel existed and cannot be updated as the manufacturer has closed down in Australia.

Beyonwiz / Re: Not connecting wirelessly so no epg or timer list

I've replied by a personal message 3 times to ask you to lodge a support ticket via the IceTV website and also sent you the method to connect and test the T4's connection the internet. You haven't replied?

Ditto for me.  Win 7 may become unsupported but that won't mean it will stop working so unless a re-install is needed it will keep going for ever.  And I'm sure copies of Win7 will exist for years!! My MCE is cut right back with no updates, no other software running, so nothing to trip up MCE.

Hi Italo,

I replied via our support desk so we have a ticket to manage but for the benefit of any other Humax users this is the advice I would give:

""According to IceTV's records the Humax appears to be about 6.5 years old so it could be it needs a simple reset. Switch its power off at the switch at the rear of its box, wait about half a minute then switch it on again. PVRs are cheap computers and like computers they need a "reboot" periodically, but rarely get one. If that doesn't fix it it may need a proper reset as described below from our website Help - Customer Support section.

At 6+ years of age I'd advise the complete reset.""

Hi everyone,

Plex have asked me to ask users with this frustrating problem to post on their forum as there is nothing IceTV can do. Not that I mind you all discussing it here too as long as you understand our shared angst!

I believe this is the best link:

This Plex forum has some interesting comments on rolling back the sw version:

I understand your frustration and Plex are working on it.  Remember you aren't paying IceTV anything for the first three months free trial.

Plex / Re: Full IceTV Subscription vs Plex Subscription

Hi gozzle,

I'm sure it's in the same bucket but we'll forward it to Plex for fault finding along with the other NAS issues.  it may be a few days before this is sorted by Plex.

Plex are working on this issue right now and we are liaising with them as it is effecting many users with a NAS but it was the July 4 holiday last week so they have been delayed.  I'd expect an answer during this week.

Hi Robert,

I suspect it's a QNAP - PLEX issue as many PLEX users are logging in successfully using PCs or Macs as the server.  I've alerted our CTO but I'll have to ask you to wait until tomorrow for an update.  In the meantime can you turn on debugging and then generate the problem again so we have some info from your PLEX server as to the issue?

Plex has had trouble identifying the choice of channel numbers in some regions due to a need for two choices for regional overlaps and simply grabs the lowest one.  You can go to your IceTV Guide Settings under My Account when logged in and disable the other LCN and then refresh the guide in Plex and go to "Manage Channels" and choose it.  Alternatively PM me with your username and region and I'll do it for you.
