SKIPPA / autoskip pricing

I saw in the pre order extension for Skippa  $39 for one year of autoskip.

Can you tell me how many years of autoskip I get for my initial pre-reorder before the extension was announced



Has anyone been game enough to update from (after rolling back from due to pre-padding issues)
Are there still padding issues?

Did you have to reset media center (the series recording backup from cam was a good tip!!)


IceTV EPG Content / Michael Jackson

I found this on TV Tonight Blog
"Seven has announced a newly-completed documentary on the life of Michael Jackson will air on Monday night at 7:30pm.

Produced by ITV it includes interviews with his mother, brothers and sisters and other famous performers who worked with Jackson.

The documentary had just been completed, to screen ahead of his comeback tour in the UK."

If this is confirmed when do you think the EPG is likely to be updated

Does anyone know how interactive handles timer conflicts?

I just notice that three programs (different channels) are scheduled for the same timeslot.

I will delete one, but I wanted to know what interactive will do since it can only set two timers.

When I used TEDS on my old Toppy 5000 there was a rating system, so the shows with the highest rating had preference.

I am currently using 03 firmware here in canberra.

I have just noticed some odd channel mapping spelling when you select ok/yellow

SC10 Canberra is set to 55 2 SouthernK

When I select the blue button (map ictv channel) there is also 2 mapping selections for SC10 HD

D Southern Cross TEN Capital HD

ACT Southern Cross TEN Capital HD

D Southern Cross TEN Capital HD when selected displays the ABC epg??

Anyone else see any odd spelling or duplicate mapping selections?

You do realise you just have to select the two (or more) programs in the File List by pressing the red button in the order you want them to play while they are highlighted

Then hit OK with the first one selected to play them and the PVR will play them all back2back without interuption!

I have installed 1.0.03 and managed to change the Prime HD mapping to LCN 60 via the epg settings and I can now receive timers on Prime HD!!

Still no luck so far with the other HD channels (I am still testing)

At the moment there are only 5 channels in the Channel Map Setting that I can change: WIN SD, SC10 SD, Prime SD, ABC1 and Prime HD.

With TEDS, the software used to add the names of the consecutive timers.

Yes you lost some of the guide data but it saved you being kicked out when the 1st recording finished and then having to load the second recording to watch the end of the 1st program

Even JustEPG had an option to Merge timers.

Whether ICETV can do it or the PVR manufacturer it should an optional setting rather than a default function to suit the users preferences

I have a Toppy 5000 from the old days (anything greater than 6 month is considered old now!!).

We used to get toppy new firmware on a regular basis, multiple updates to epguploader, PBK, Justepg egc.

When TEDS became compatible with ICETV I thought it was fantastic.

However while it was fun (solving problems with TAPS, TEDS etc), I understand that general users (ie my parents or the TIVO market) need reliability.

I understand the frustration from many users, but lets face it. if you are sending messages to forums you probably know enough to "torrent" a missed show while the issues are sorted out with the firmware and interactive.

Potentially a system such as TIVO, while not perfect, may be suitable for the general public, I will still be setting up an icetv system for my sister, but I would probably will go with a TIVO or FOXTEL system with my parents. 

I think the service ICETV offers is great. I have been a subscriber since the Toppy 5000 came out but I think ICETV it is still a "hobby" service. I cant expect my parents or friends to buy a device to run ICETV if I am not around to "fiddle" with the settings to get the device to work.

If NINE can get their act to gether an support icetv, I think this service can mature.

Obviously if the firmware is updated and the problems persist, I would expect Icetv and Topfield to investigate further.

I would be interested to know if any beyonwiz owners are experiencing the same problems


I am located in Canberra and yes the timers seem not to set properly on the HD channels

I received a response from ICETV support.  They have indicated that the firmware for the toppy still has not fully implimented interactive.

I guess we will have to wait until Topfield to publish the official firmware update.

Is anyone not getting recordings sent for a specific channel via interactive?

My TF7100 is not receiving recordings set for Prime HD. The other channels seem to be ok.

Its a bit frustrating, I cant even use the EPG to set the recordings for Prime since it causes the the TF7100 to freeze.


Topfield / EPG causing TF7100 to lock up

When I go to Prime HD EPG the topfield locks up.  When I reboot all the channel map data has disappeared.
Also interactive is not sending recordings to Prime HD.

This has only recently happened. I wonder if something has recently changed to cause the missing channel mapping etc


I have been having an issue where if I cancel a series recording by mistake and then try to reschedule it the red schedule indicator does not appear.

I have reported it, hopefully it can be fixed.
