Windows Vista Media Center / Hey IceTV, What does this mean?
« on: December 09, 2009, 09:07:32 PM »
I get this error when I manualy get the guide from within the interactive program this is from the log...
I rang phone support over the weekend to find out and they said they would look into it and email me back, so I thought I'd post this here as well...

Background info: I was running big screen epg (for the logos) which has since e xpired so I uninstalled it (I don't think it got it all though) I then installed interactive (had it running in Vista but was waiting for a win7 release) I also installed MyChannelLogos which is running at the moment.

I think Big Screen EPG is still there somewhere as element of it are still present (tv show preview screenshots in the epg synopsis)

anyway that's it I think...

Any thoughts?

You are correct it is listed across the bottom of the website...

But to be fair to the OP...nobody reads the small stuff at the bottom of website (usually reserved for Privacy statements that type of thing)

Listed across the top maybe or at very least larger

And for god's sake, don't get into another ICE v Nine debacle over it... tread carefully

Windows Vista Media Center / Re: Interactive showing MCE recorded shows

I have Neighbours set as series and Project set as series...

These are not showing on iPhone app, or website

These two for tonight are not showing up as something I've got set to record.

I know they are series recordings.

And these were set from MCE which makes me think that the shows are not bouncing back to you guys for updated device listing under the "TV Guide" section

No... a red dot will be sufficient if it is displayed in the Guide section..
Doesn't matter if it a series recording or not, Just that there is a Red Dot next to it...
For example:
Listed tonight from my iPhone app I have (example only...  :-[ ) Desperate Housewives (set up from website) this shows on all devices...
I set up Project from MCE...which only show from MCE...

It would be nice if they could at least appear RED to show as something which is either a series or one off recording...

like you have with the Orange (shows currently on-air)

Hope that makes sense?

I'm assuming the Interactive program pings MCE and the interactive program pings your website all the time...

If that's the case then why doesn't the Interactive website, iPhone app and Mac Dashboard widget display all my series recordings I have set up?

Because they are series recordings, they are "set and forget"... so sometimes when I'm out and I remember something is on I check my iPhone app...
I see that I no series recording listed... so I end up setting them again...

Can you make them appear in the Guide section...

You have the ones I have setup using the website... but not the one I have setup from MCE

I hope this clears up some of the confusion.

So in theory because I'm in regional Victoria I should see ONE Digital and ONE HD like I am now???

Okay...So I guess I'm going to have to retune MCE again to make sure I have actually picked up the HD version of ONE?

What they should have done was to have the channel names listed as:

Hey guys,
First of all, I get that HD means High Def and the other one is standard def...
And great upgrade, the interactive site mixed with the iPhone app works 100%, thanks

But when I went in and updated all the interactive stuff yesterday I noticed that there were two "ONE" channels (ONE + ONE HD)
I though Ten/SC were only broadcasting 1 channel ONE and that was going to be in HD...
Does that mean because I only have 1 ONE in my MCE guide listing that I need to retune (again)? two get them both (Regional Victoria)

Also is there different content on these?

As the last time I checked there was only ever 1 ONE?

Yes that's something I would be interested in as well?

Wonder if Freeview will change anything...

Freeview won't change a dam thing. It will be business as usual...,28124,25389044-7582,00.html

They can't even get their own act together let alone dictate terms to the TV stations.

If you're having problems with that, the best thing to do is to contact support, and I'm sure they can help you out, or let you know if it's a known issue.

Thanks for the reply Russell...I know the best thing for me is to contact Customer Support.

I can assume by your comment that you cannot tell me if you are or are not having problems. your various departments must not pass on critical information like the interactive web site is not working...

I am still trying various things to rule some stuff out. That's why I asked if you were having problems, because as I'm ruling stuff out here, there has been post after post about interactive not working.

Which is why I simply asked if you guys were having problems with it...

Because if you are having problems, then I will stop mucking around with my setup until the problem is fixed.

If you are not have any issues then I will continue and once as you advise and contact customer support.

This is by no means intended to come across as being mean...

Just a little frustrated that we cannot get a yes/no answer

Ok... thanks for looking into this...

On a side note, Russell, can you confirm you're having problems with the interactive / iPhone information getting to MCE updates, and are working on it?

Oh yeah...I see what your saying it's because they are both within the same 7 day schedule.

And if it were on the Eighth day then it would flagged as a repeat.

That makes sense.

I'll live with that, considering it doesn't happen often...

And I don't expect you to manually change this, every week.

As for Two and Half Men or series's without Episode name from channel nien.
I don't know where you get you guide information from But there are many different souces which list all episodes in order and episode names of upcoming shows.
e.g tvtorrents dot com and/or official websites etc.

That is unless of course channel nien don't stuff everyone around and actually show episodes in order...
