Great Offer guys - much appreciated!
I've taken the liberty of telling a few close friends over on Whirlpool  ;D - that should help get those 500 subscriptions sold!

I just checked my guide here in Sydney and Channel None still has data right through to Friday, there are some TBA areas but they look like times when they'll be screening the tennis. Normal programming is showing up

Ha - some would say it's a blessing in disguise

I can't say what I'd like to say about Channel Nine in public

Needless to say they "Still NOT the One"

BTW - I just checked my guide here in Sydney and Channel None still has data right through to Friday, there are some TBA areas but they look like times when they'll be screening the tennis. Normal programming is showing up

General Discussions / ICETV 30% Discount offer until 30 June 2008

I can't see it posted already so I just wanted to let others know about the 30% discount offer for ICETV new or renewal subscriptions until 30 June 2008

Use the code "longliveicetv" in the discount code field (found directly above the License Agreement window) on any renewal / subscription purchase pages to get 30% off any IceTV Subscription

This means that until 30 June 2008 pricing is:
Normally $99 12 month subscription comes down to $69.30
Normally $33 3 month subscription comes down to $23.10
Normally $13 1 month subscription comes down to $9.10

Enjoy!

IceTV EPG Content / Re: Another "NASCAR" Guide Issue
« on: April 29, 2008, 09:09:49 PM »
I realise im not the most popular ICE customer here (due to my willingness to to call things as I see them) but I'd really appreciate it if you guy's would remember that i am a long-time paying customer who would like to get what he pays for (an accurate EPG for the purpose of easily recording TV series)

You're popular with me - anyome else who watches NASCAR is popular with me!

I'm more a more junior member of the forums - but still pay my ICETV sub - and watch NASCAR so would like to see it setup in the guide correctly as well

What does it take?

Can we get the ICETV guide updated asap so we can set up the guide to record the series

Thanks

Windows Vista Media Center / Re: Widget for Vista?
« on: March 19, 2008, 08:25:19 PM »
For now please use the Yahoo widget on XP and Vista though and let us know what you do and don't like about it.

Sorry - I won't be stuffing up my working VISTA install with Yahoo Widgets

Guess I'll have to wait til ICETV is prepared to deliver a working VISTA gadget

Really - do you need to hold off waiting to be able deliver "the best VISTA gadget"? - haven't you heard of the 80/20 rule - I suspect most of us VISTA users would be happy with something as a VISTA gadget rather than nothing! (and certainly not having to install a Yahoo Wdiget engine on VISTA

What do others think?

If we can't get ALL the functionality of the Yahoo gadget and the MAC version could we at least have a VISTA gadget that provides some of the functionality (I'd be happy just to have a guide visible at this stage)

There are a lot of VISTA users out there and I don't know anyone who would want to install Yahoo's gadget engine on their VISTA setup

Is there any plan ny ICETV to provide something for customers using VISTA?

Yahoo! Widget / Re: Gadget for Windows Vista
« on: January 26, 2008, 04:50:50 PM »
Very nice! - love to have that

Is there really more demand for a MAC gadget versus a VISTA one? - or is it the technical difficulties of doing the VISTA one that is the primary issue?

Yahoo! Widget / Gadget for Windows Vista - any update on when?
« on: January 26, 2008, 03:15:40 PM »
We're definitely planning a refresh of all the widgets at some point soonish.
Can't really say much at this point (sorry, I know that sucks as an answer). I will say this though: we hear you and we know that people want it :)

Ok - so you hear us and know people want it - that was very encouraging
However it's been a long time since this post and still no sign of a VISTA Gadget
I really dont want to have to install the Yahoo Gadget engine on my clean VISTA install

Can you give us ANY idea of when we will see a VISTA gadget released like the one that works on Windows XP based on the Yahoo engine?

Edit: Joining the dots - there is some more recent discussion on the VISTA gadget here - http://www.icetv.com.au/iceforum/index.php?topic=898.0;topicseen

Add me to the potential beta tester list  :D

IceTV EPG Content / Channel 7 & 10 HD Channel Content Listing
« on: January 12, 2008, 09:23:03 AM »
I just checked my IceTV guide on my VMC and there are now some entries appearing for 7 and 10 HD channels (nothing for the next few days with entries starting on Wednesday 16 January) - it's not complete but it's good to see some content appearing - when did that start?

Can IceTV update us on progress towards getting full listing for the HD channels?

Thanks

Thanks

I think I'm just grumpy because I just installed the patches last Sunday night, did the rescan and setup my recordings - so the thought of doing the rescan and setting up of recordings again so soon isn't something I was expecting so soon

I guess it's only 30 minutes  ;)

Unfortunately one of the downsides of installing the "lost channels" patch means that the channel list will not automatically update as background scanning is disabled to stop 7 and SBS from re-scanning themselves.

If you have changed the channel order then unfortunately there is no way to tell what the channel numbers are.

Thanks for the late night support Daniel

I have definitely changed the order of the channels to put them in the right order - and I don't know how anyone could not want to install the "lost channels" patch - I thought I was going nuts with the channels appearing and dissapearing on me!

So basically I need to do a rescan for all the channels and then set them up in the right order - and then go through and setup my recordings again....

I suppose with all these new digital channels coming out this is going to be a regular activity over the coming months?
