Not always.  I have two timers set for tonight (on MCE) for the two Law & Order shows.  At least one of them should be marked with
Are you sure?  My tv card (single tuner) allows me to record consecutive shows, with full padding on all, and saves them as individual recordings ie. last night I recorded Spicks & Specks, The Librarians, and United States of Tara - on my hard drive I have 3 recordings, all with full pre and post padding.  Even though it is a single tuner, it also allows recording of concurrent/overlapping shows as long as they are on the same mux - I regularly record ABC1 & ABC2 concurrent/consecutive shows.

I don't have MCE so don't use Interactive to set my PC timers (I use DVScheduler) but I can't see that this should make any difference.

I have set 7 Queensland to use LCN 7 and 70 in the channel listing. However some of my timers refuse to set... 7 Local News and 7 News are coming up with Yellow warning symbols on the Interactive guide. I have set and reset the HD / SD settings etc as people have mentioned above...

Any ideas?

Edit: Looks to be all programs on 7 that aren't working...

Have you changed the 'other' channel sevens to "disabled" - particularly Seven-Brisbane?  This sorted things for me (Beyonwiz/Wide Bay region.)

Topfield / Re: Use EPG from one channel for another?

You could try what I do with my Beyonwiz.

In my guide on the Ice Interactive page I have "my" channel + the one which appears in the EPG on my PVR.  When I want to record something on "my" channel I set the timer (via Interactive) for the corresponding time on the other channel.

The only problem with this approach is that most timers must be set as one-offs ie it is not easy to set up series recordings etc.

Hope this makes sense  ;D

While Bewitched is showing on Nine HD, Alive and Cooking is showing on Nine. Thanks for playing.

Except that where there are variations between ABC1 & ABC HD programming (Saturdays here in Qld) these do not show in the guide unless you select the "copy SD to HD" option. ???  Not particularly logical!

Windows Vista Media Center / Re: ICETV on Windows XP

Just looking for an App for my XP PC that will make it act like a beyonwiz off icetv.

So a program that will pickup from my icetv account feed and schedule recordings on the pc tv cards just the same way a beyonwiz does.  I can then use my 2 beyonwiz to work of the network folder containing all the recorded files.

I use DVScheduler to do this.  I use my icetv account to supply the EPG info, but the "scheduling" is done in DVScheduler itself (not through Ice Interactive).  See this link for some details & download http://www.cs.usyd.edu.au/~efax/DV%20Scheduler.html

IceTV EPG Content / Re: ONE HD in regional areas
« on: July 01, 2009, 04:11:27 PM »
Hi. There will be an announcement regarding the technical details of the channel name changes today. However, can assure you that IceTV will provide the ONE-HD Guide to its Regional lists.

Announcement email received this afternoon, but I believe the instructions for Topfield TF7100 and Beyonwiz users have been mixed up ie the Topfield instructions are those for the Beyonwiz and vice versa.

IceTV EPG Content / ONE HD in regional areas

Any info on when Ice guides will be updated and/or Ice channel names will change for this?

Any news on when the Ice Guide will have the info for regional ONE HD?  I realise I can just look at the existing ONE HD guide, but I cannot set "Interactive" timers using this.  (Beyonwiz - regional Qld)

IceTV EPG Content / Re: WIN News and National Nine News

Don't know where Cammo is, but I am in the Wide Bay area.  We definitely now get WIN local news at 6pm (local news has only recently started here) followed by the National news at 6:30pm.

You will have to set timers via interactive using "Seven Brisbane" (instead of "Seven QLD").  Go to the 'My Account' section of IceTV and tick Seven-Brisbane & Seven HD-Brisbane.  These will then show up in your guide for you to use to set timers.  I leave Seven-QLD & Seven HD-QLD ticked as well so I can see what is actually on "my" channel 7, and then set the timer for the corresponding time on Seven-Brisbane.

I am in the Wide Bay area.  We get channel 7 on LCN 7 (the same as Brisbane) where for a large part of regional QLD it is apparently LCN6?  As the beyonwiz does not incorporate any channel mapping options, the above workaround is our only choice for now.

Yes - I am using an icebox2 to connect to both my Toppy (USB port) and a beyonwiz DP-H1 (LAN port).

It's interesting that you think the 9 Brisbane guide is more accurate than WIN's. How so?

WIN for Wide Bay (& Mackay) is different to other WIN regional from 4:30 to 7:30 pm - our programming in these timeslots is mostly the same as Brisbane (closer than the Ice WIN guide I think).  Some of the daytime(weekday) and late night/early morning Nine Brisbane stuff may be different to WIN but I'm rarely interested in what is on in these timeslots so this doesn't bother me.  For my viewing purposes I have just found using Nine Brisbane suits better.

I think that jillmess may be the Beyonwiz forum's jillybean. If so, there are more details about her EPG problems here.

Yep - that's me.  I have spoken to someone at Ice (Marc I think) and my problem does relate to the channel mapping in the Ice info ie. channel seven for me (Wide Bay) is on LCN7 but the correct guide is Seven QLD which is mapped to LCN6 in the Ice settings.

This is possibly also what is causing your problems (I'm not aware of how the mapping on the TF7100 works - I can only relate to the TF5000 IceEPGLoader TAP mapping.)  Like Vortical says - give them a call.

At least with the Topfield it sounds like changes can be made to allow you to have selectable mapping for seven - particularly now that the issue is recognised.

Beyonwiz / IceTV & channel mapping
« on: January 08, 2009, 07:32:07 AM »
I have "QLD regional" selected as my region in my IceTV account, but am unable to get the correct guide info for "my" channel seven to show on the wiz - the correct guide  is "Seven QLD" but what I get in the EPG is "Seven Brisbane".  Timers set using Ice Interactive also need to be set on Seven Brisbane for them to transfer successfully (which can be confusing when what I really want to record is a regional variation).

Conversely I get  WIN QLD in my EPG, when Nine Brisbane is more accurate for my area (neither is completely correct).  Is there any way to incorporate some sort of selectable channel mapping between the wiz and IceTV?

Hello cliffo

Did you download from the link on the Australian yahoo webste? (http://au.widgets.yahoo.com/)

If so, this link is to an old version and you will need to download from the main yahoo site - I had this same problem a couple of weeks ago.
