I'm on the latest firmware on the 7100+ (Feb 20). I have just loaned my 7100 to my son to use for the Games and he doesn't have an internet connection so I can't test that one right now - sorry.

I did get around to doing a test last night. As I suspected the ICE reservations get a radio channel if they arrive and the PVR is currently set to radio even in standby.

Thanks, I had already deleted the incorrect reservations and recreated them using the EPG.

Earlier in the week I discovered that the unit had been set to radio mode (top rh button on remote under mute) when I turned it on. It is possible that any reservations that come from ICE during a period when the unit is in radio mode get the radio channel instead of the TV channel. I might get around to checking this theory sometime.

My ICE reservations for today and tomorrow are set to radio type rather than TV. The program names are corrct and the red icons have been set in the EPG. It's just that the thing is recording radio. Is this set by ICE or somewhere in the topfield (7100+)?

It would certainly be a great feature if ICE was able to manage multiple devices as if they were a singe device with n tuners - which I think is one of the things suggested by mtb. There's a lot of useful discussion in that thread but it does not seem to have attracted any interest from ICE. Perhaps they are reluctant to reach out too far before they have got their current arrangements working completely.

Looking at the guide. Select any day in advance. Rotate screen from landscape to portrait (or vice versa) and the guide reverts to now. Rotate back to landscape and guide remains at now and won't be changed to a future day even though the future day shows in box at bottom. Similar thing happens in "My Week". Presumably this is a SGII only issue as testing would have discovered it if it occurred generally.

There's probably a reason why not that I can't see, but rather than deleting and re-sending the post DST timers and possibly having to worry about setting a view timer, why can't the post DST timers be sent with the correct start time in the first place? There would be a possible issue if a timer straddled the 2am DST time change point but I could live with that in preference to the current arrangement.

Currently the interactive guide, My Shows and My Week all display only the reservations or shows relevant to the device currently selected by the user. It would be nice for us oldies if there could be a way to show the reservations etc for all devices on the one screen, (as well as the current arrangement for those who prefer that.)

Me too, but still not the DST email.

It seems that the remaining issue now is that the times for reservations on the PVR (ie already received from ICE prior to the changeover) will be an hour out. I'm not across the complexities of it but given that the ICE system knows this, why cannot it be altered to account for the DST time change and get the reservation times so they become correct after the changeover?

Wasn't this the reason given for non-delivery of emails last DST changeover? (or maybe my imagination). Anyway, I received an email dated 26th Mar containing info about what was on TV last week and some sales info, but nothing in it or subsequently about DST.

Yes, they didn't fix that bit. I also think (I noticed this but did not try again to confirm) that the reset EPG process can result in an almost instanteous download of reservations - and if you use that function on a second device you will get the reservations for the first device because there was not enough time to reset the device name back to its correct value. Yesterday after installing the latest firmware I was waiting for the EPG to populate and used the reset function in the hope that it might make it happen. I immediately reset the device and then looked at the EPG - still blank, and then looked at the reservations only to find that I had reservations for device 1 that were not there previously. I can't explain this any other way.

First you will need to download the firmware to USB and then select that as an upgrade source. Don't use the over the network option.

The method recommended by the mods on the topfield forum involves a reset to factory settings beforehand - see that forum for details of the whole procedure.

In the new firmware released today the reset EPG data key now blanks the EPG. It eventually gets repopulated.

The function is not labelled "Reset ICETV data" - if it was then the reset of the device type would not have been so unexpected.

I assume that I have misunderstood the purpose of this function. I had assumed (based only on the words on the screen) that the function would refresh the PVR EPG data from the ICE site. It does not seem to do this. Another option that then occurred to me was that the function could reset the PVR EPG data to blank and the normal PVR operation would then collect the EPG data from ICE. It doesn't do that. Then I thought that the function might go and get EPG data if the existing PVR EPG data was blank. It doesn't do that.

If the function was intended to reset ICETV data as suggested above I would expect the user name and password to be blanked out, the EPG to be blanked out, the device type to be unset and the ICE reservations to be deleted. None of these happen in practice - at least on my device.

So far in my testing the only things that I can identify happening when this key is pressed is that the PVR attempts to login to ICE and when it does you get a response that login has been successful. The device type is then reset to the first recorded ICE device name. I'm sure that the function must do something more useful and I'll keep looking.
