Title: Episode names on M: The City Hunts a Murderer
Post by: prl on November 17, 2019, 05:26:55 PM
Why are they in German: "Teil I", "Teil II", etc?

"Teil" just means "part" or "episode".

Hi prl,

I put in these titles as listed in IMBD, I will change it back to series 1, episode 1 as given by SBS.

Regards,
Alison.

Thanks, Alison. "Part" is probably a better translation, but "episode" is fine.

In the opening titles, SBS translates Teil I/Teil II as Part I/Part II.

It looks like it's a modernisation of the Fritz Lang movie of the same name.

Hi Prl,

Ok, I'll put the names of the episodes (Teil III) to "Part III, IV, etc."

Regards,
Alison.
