Title: IceBox2 Wireless question
Post by: paulgraham on January 30, 2007, 07:25:03 PM
My IceBox wireless signal often reads as ‘poor’, however I have a 2m line of sight gap between my laptop and the IceBox. Am I correct in assuming that when I communicate with my Toppy via wireless the signal goes laptop - to - wireless router - to - icebox? And therefore if I improve the signal from my router to the icebox signal strength should improve? (It still transfers files on and off the toppy, but I assume a stronger signal will get a slightly improved transfer rate?)

Thanks, Paul.

Yes, that is correct, it is entirely dependent on the link quality from your wireless router to the icebox2 that controls the wireless signal meter on the icebox2 and can effect transfer speeds if the link is too low.
