Title: Top Gear on Nine: finishing time
Post by: futzle on March 09, 2010, 08:39:10 PM
It's too late for tonight, but maybe next week...

Top Gear on Nine on Tuesday on Melbourne runs till 8.40 pm.  That's the advertised start time for Survivor according to an ad during Nine News tonight.

IceTV's guide data has the time at 8.30.

Yeah, there has been quite a bit of discussion about how they cut the smithereens out of the new season 1st ep a few weeks ago to squeeze 2 eps into 2hours (but had over 20mins per hour of adverts) and everyone knew they would have to cut for a 1hour commercial timeslot.   I am guessing they have listened to the complaints and how have it in a 70min slot which, minus adverts on both networks, ends up with the same length show that SBS used to show.

I think I'm going to stop watching Top Gear.  In their usual fashion they are murdering it, mixing repeats with new eps, I just don't have the patience for this.  >:(
