Title: Keyword Help - "Sci-Fi"
Post by: TripleJ on June 13, 2009, 02:38:43 PM
I just tried to setup a keyword for Sci-Fi but it seems to be a hit and miss affair.

Tonight in Canberra there's this movie which it missed
Zathura: A Space Adventure (2005)
Sat, 13 Jun 2009, 125 minutes, PG, Sci-Fi, Adventure, Movie, CC, Repeat
Danny and Walter's board game turns out to be all too real when it somehow...

but it did find this show that's on tomorrow night (along with a whole bunch of stuff "Not upcoming in the next 7 days" which is strange but amusing)
Bones ‘The Princess and the Pear’
Prime S
Sun, 14 Jun 2009, 60 minutes, M, Drama, Crime, CC
A sci-fi conventions suddenly becomes way more interesting when fantasy seeps...

I used quotes around "Sci-Fi" and selected search everything. Is the - seperating the two words screwing things up or am I doing this wrong.

I think the reason you're expecting it to find Zathura is because you're seeing "Sci-Fi" in the detail text for that show, but that word is actually just the genre, which isn't currently included in the search.  Right now searches can be done on the title, or on the description actors & director, or everything (meaning the title, description, actors, and director).  But not the genre -- sorry.  We'll look into adding it in a future update.
