Title: Motor Sport: V8 Supercars
Post by: Monaro427 on March 25, 2009, 10:01:22 PM
The description for Saturdays telecast is:

  Motor Sport: V8 Supercars  ‘Round 1 2009 - Clipsal 500 - Adelaide (Sat...’

Sat, 28 Mar 2009, 300 minutes, Sport, WS

Almost 300,000 people attended the Clipsall 500 in 2008. The 78 laps of this race are completed over two days. This is the only race in which the point system is irrelevant because the first one across the line on the second day wins the event.

Besides the fact that it's going to be the F1 round, it was two 78 laps races, not one 78 laps race over two days.

Is it really only broadcast on 7HD? Why would channel 7 do that? Stupid. (I did check the ch7 website and it appears that it is only on 7HD)

Hi. That's right, at this stage it's only on 7HD.

Thanks. I hope the description gets fixed in the EPG.

Does it really matter? - it's a replay of the last weekends racing
The Fujitsu Series will be on 7SD at the same time
and F1 over on Ten (or whatever they call themselves these days!) - ONE HD

Ohhh. I assumed that Ch7 would show the V8's at the Grand Prix. Will the v8's be shown on Ch10?!?

Edit: Doesn't say that it's a repeat either though...

The V8s are shown on ONE as it isn't part of the championship (one of the drivers said yesterday it should be, but that would open up a can of worms about televising rights I am sure).
