Toppy 5000pvrt Icetv & Time Padding

Hi

Just got a Toppy 5000PVRT yesterday and installed IceTV.

I have set Aus Idol to record tonight (7:30-8:30) and Rove Live straight after that (8:30-9:30). I have chosen a timer padding of 10 mins.

Since these shows are recording off the same channel (10), will the timer padding cause a clash?

That leads me to another question. Following from the above senario if I record something on another channel between 8:00-8:30 agin wil the timer padding cause a problem?

Short answer is no, the timer padding in the ICE EPG Loader TAP does it's check just before a timer is set to start and will check all other timers on the Topfield and then see how much time is available to pad out the recording.

In the case of two shows back to back on the one channel, only the second show will be padded (as anything missed in the first will be in the second anyway).

Following your example if you then set another recording for 8:00 to 8:30 it would also have padding added to it as the TAP takes into account both tuners of the Topfield.
