Feature to include :Selecting shows to record by attributes

Will you be implementing a feature where you can record all shows by "Title" (ie all Simpsons Shows - no matter the channel) or "Actor", "Director" etc (Uma Thurman, Spielberg)?

There's a good chance stuff like that will be introduced via IceTV Remote.

It should also be pointed out that IceTV Remote already does series recordings based on shows (the same way that Media Center does), it's being able to specify terms (or even just genres) that is currently not implemented.

Yeah, that remote looks pretty handy.

Actually the Remote protocol supports event recording as well as keywords and other sophisticated features. For example, you can specify that you want to record everything on SBS that has sexually explicit content.

The trouble is that most devices are too dumb to handle this properly. The solution is to convert the "rules" at the server into individual timer entries, but this is mostly a one way process.
