Pointless differences

At the moment ABC & ABC HD are running repeats of the UK version of Pointless, and Eleven is running new versions of the Australian version of the quiz show.

The Australian version is shorter than the UK version, but the rules are basically the same. However, the IceTV guide says of the UK version: "A quiz in which contestants try to score as few points as possible", but of the Australian version: "A quiz show which strips you of points rather than adds them". The description of the scoring in the UK synopsis is an accurate description of how the show's scoring works. The description of the scoring in the Australian version's synopsis is not accurate. The shows both score in the same way.
