OK, I have a question.  Being lazy, I suppose.  If I have my timers set to SD preferred, is there a hurry for me to fix all this?  I mean, seeing that 7 and 10 aren't happening on the same day, any harm done if I wait till after the 2nd of March to fix everything?
Cheers,
Judy

Not really, except 7flix is showing different content to 7, so there is a chance you 'might' miss something worth recording.

Having said that there is no problems just making the changes now, as both channels are already broadcasting a test loop, and the guide data is already available with placeholder data in place until actual broadcasting begins.

I see 7flix has been added to the "NSW - Newcastle" region on the Guide Settings page. May as well delete it. PRIME7 have no intention of showing it.

A reply to someone asking on their FB page ....

Thank you for your message. PRIME7 currently has no commercial arrangements in place with the Seven Network to broadcast 7flix.

This also means we do not hold the rights to broadcast any of the programs shown on 7flix on our existing channels.

Adding new channels is technically challenging, takes time and requires substantial capital investment. From a broadcast engineering perspective, regional broadcasters are far more complex businesses than metro operations, covering larger geographic areas with multiple signals that service a large number of local areas across regional Australia.

We will certainly update viewers if and when this new service becomes available in regional areas.

Hi,
Yes I did and on top of that I realized that the guide had change without having to clear the cache and forcing an update.

Ciao.

The channel you are seeing is a copy of the Sydney channel on LCN 76 (the same as Seven, Ten and Nine) which can be disabled under My Account if you don't receive it.

Details from the Gold Coast from my Skippa:

TenHD 4116:1540:1604
7flix (LCN 76) 4115:1284:1349

I don't pick up 7flix on LCN 66 for some reason.  My skippa's (I now have two) both have problems with loose connections in their antenna-in socket, which reduced signal quality substantially (and requires careful positioning of the cable to make the contacts), so perhaps that's why.  But I'm getting all the other channels on the same frequency, scanned today, so it seems unlikely that that's the cause.

Done, a reboot of the SKIPPA is all that is required to bring up the new channel and guide information.

Thanks, Daniel.  It's all good now here on the Gold Coast.

New WIN channel setup (WIN HD, LIFE) for Canberra (LCN TSID:ONID:SID channel name):
8 327A:3273:781 WIN Canberra
80 327A:3273:793 WIN Canberra HD
81 327A:3273:784 WIN Canberra
82 327A:3273:786 GEM Canberra
83 327A:3273:785 GO! Canberra
84 327A:3273:790 LIFE
85 327A:3273:788 Extra
86 327A:3273:787 GOLD
88 327A:3273:782 GO! Canberra

I think that pretty much everything changed. I'll provide more new WIN triple data as I get it for picon use on the Beyonwiz forum, but I won't ba able to provide LCNs on those triples.

Triples for Orange (TSID:ONID:SID channel name):

327C:3273:781 WIN Orange
327C:3273:782 GO! Orange
327C:3273:784 WIN Orange
327C:3273:785 GO! Orange
327C:3273:786 GEM Orange
327C:3273:787 GOLD
327C:3273:788 Extra
327C:3273:790 LIFE
327C:3273:791 WIN Orange HD

It looks as though corresponding SIDs are for corresponding LCNs in the Canberra data except for WIN HD, which uses different SIDs in the two sets, but the LCN should be clear.
