SmartEPG tap and Icetv

I like the extra features the the SmartEPG Tap provides for my Topfield 2400, but I'm having a few issues.
I realise that SmartEPG reads from the FTA EPG rather than Ice, but it seems that Ice can still set the timers pretty well according to it's guide, it seems that the IceTv guide is still downloaded and stored on the box.
The problem at the moment is with padding, SmartEPG disables the native padding settings, but IceTv timers use those settings, and now I miss the end of most of my shows as a result.
Is there anyway to stop the overriding of padding settings with SmartEPG?

Does anyone use SmartEPG successfully with IceTV?

SmartEPG does not use either the IceTV or native Toppy EPG data. It creates its own EPG data by harvesting EPG data from transmission signals. It treats timers/reservations made using the IceEPG or IceTV Interactive as manual timers. So, IceTV EPG does not work well with SmartEPG.
