James May's Man Lab -- "diffusing" bombs?

In the series (rather than episode) description of James May's Man Labs, it speaks of helping "modern man relearn some of the vital skills, such as diffusing a World War One bomb".

That's an interesting thing to try to do to a bomb. Perhaps another verb might have been intended?

I think defusing a bomb would be preferable to diffusing it.
